The Brooklyn Plastic Modelers Society is a club that is for plastic model hobbyists and enthusiasts. The BPMS is a local chapter of the International Plastic Modelers Society (IPMS/USA). The club allows members to meet fellow model builders and to promote model building as a hobby. The club has members of all ages and skill levels, ranging from the novice model builder to the master modeler. The types of kits that members build are diverse as well. The types include Armor, Aircraft, Sea Craft and Car kits, all from different eras, wars, conflicts or countries. Not only military and commercial kits are built, some members build Science Fiction, Fantasy or Anime kits. Other members are miniature figurine painters. If you build things that don’t fit in those categories, the BPMS practically invented the Miscellaneous Category with a member who built buildings and temples! We’re not just styrene plastic; white metal, resin, wood, vinyl, etc. are all represented at our meetings. The club encourages members to share their knowledge and skills with fellow members through clinics and discussions. The club gives everyone the opportunity to show off their work. The BPMS is proud of its friendly atmosphere that promotes model building. If you are a model builder and you are interested in meeting other enthusiasts we encourage you to come to a club meeting and see what we are about. 32 years and counting!

March 2003 marked 30 years that the BPMS has been an IPMS Chartered Club. How many other clubs can say that? We had our celebration on APRIL 26^th, 2003 at the 56^th Fighter Group. Kevin set it up, and we had a great time!
