B.A.S.S. FEDERATIONS

BOOKS OF THE BLACK BASS

B.A.S.S. FEDERATION PUBLICATIONS

A friend suggested that I include these periodicals and it has been a real struggle to find them. There are many I still don't have copies of and help in this area would be appreciated. I've added the number of pages to give you an idea of the size of the publication.  I've sent hundreds of letters and e-mail messages searching for details and now seem to have reached a dead end.  For some reason many Federations absolutely refuse to answer my letters or e-mail.  That is hard to understand because some have been extremely helpful and some have even provided me with free subscriptions to their publication.  A couple have told me their publication is confidential for members only and at the same time some Federations give them away free at Sportsmen's shows.  Go figure.  Some of these periodicals are slick magazines that could very easily be sold on the newsstands while others may just be a few loose sheets.  In either case I'd really like to know about them.

I decided to try one more time to get information from B.A.S.S. and it seemed I was finally going to get some help.  Don Corkran told me they don't maintain a list of Federation publications but they will help me get the information I need.  He promised to give all the Federation Presidents my e-mail address and Web site URL at the annual meeting in April and ask them to contact me.  It has been a couple of years now and I haven't heard from a single Federation so I guess I'm on my own again.  Maybe I should have written direct to Ma Bass, do you think she'd help?  Probably not -- no money in it for B.A.S.S. to help me get information.

Since I can't expect any help from B.A.S.S. I have also added a page on books published by B.A.S.S. and hope you'll help me refine that page.  Bass Anglers Sportsman Society

The Bass Anglers Sportsman Society web site also has pages concerning the B.A.S.S. National Federation.    B.A.S.S. National Federation

There are B.A.S.S. Federations in 46 U.S. states and abroad in Japan, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Italy and Canada so you can see I still have a long way to go.  I've added links to those Federations that I know have Web sites.

I'm so in need of additional information that I'll add an extra e-mail link right here so you won't forget. Tell me about your Federation publication now and then come right back.
