Micro at 16 weeks 4 days. The first shot is a profile of the face. The top of the head is at the far right and a bit of the chest can be seen to the left. Micro is looking straight up (at the placenta in this case.)

Here is a picture of the hand waving to us. Actually, I think Micro is getting ready to pop that thumb into his/her mouth. The hand is really spread out with the thumb visible as a small white dot right in front of the word hand. This one is really hard to see because the contrast didn't scan well. The 3 dots starting at 12 o'clock are the pinky, ring, and middle fingers. The dot isolated at 3 o'clock is the index finger. The series of dots starting at 11 o'clock and running diagonally towards 3 o'clock are the start of the palm. The blob at the bottom is a blurry version of the head with the thumb approaching the mouth.

This final picture is impossible for me to discern, but the ultrasound tech has labeled the foot. Good luck at figuring it out--I haven't yet. Most of the ultrasound looked about like this to me until the tech would freeze a frame and describe what it was. Then it all seemed so clear! Reading the images as the little one flips around unmercilessly is quite a skill.

The scan is vertical, so the head is at the bottom. I didn't feel like messing around trying to rotate it. : )

Descendents of Daniel Scranton Andrews
We have traced the Andrews lineage back to Daniel Scranton ANDREWS who was born in 1807 in Westerly, Rhode Island. At least that is where the records indicate he was born. Unfortunately, we have yet to turn up a birth record or any other record that reveals his parents' names. Daniel moved to Petersburg, NY in 1833 to marry Almeda COON. They emigrated from there to Adams, New York and finally settled in Watson, Lewis County, New York.
Daniel and Almeda were members of the Seventh Day Baptist Church and they and their children migrated around the country with others from this religion. We have located records of their descendents in New York, Illinois, and Colorado.

Daniel and Almeda's Children
Daniel and Almeda had a total of eight children. The following married and had offspring:
*William Fisher Andrews b. 4/9/1836 m. Delia LARABEE d. sometime before 1895. They lived in the Watson/New Bremen area of Lewis County, New York. Their children were Adell Andrews and William Daniel Andrews. Adell married Frederick KALER and lived in New Bremen, NY. Bill is descended from William Daniel, his namesake.
*Towner Philetus Andrews b. 1/23/1839 m. Eleanor Vincent d. 5/5/1912. They lived in Fayette County, Illinois. Their children were Darwin Maxson Andrews, Mark Andrews, and Mary Sheppard Andrews. Darwin married Mary WHEELER and lived in Boulder, CO.
*Charles Henry Andrews b. 3/8/1846 m. Clarinda Griffith d. 4/22/1903. Details about his daughters Mabel Clare (b. 1875 in IL) and Gertrude A. (b. 1880 in IL) are unknown to us.
*Miranda Andrews b. 6/29/1849 d. 9/17/1899. We believe she married FE WILDER in Lewis County, NY. She is one of our brick walls.
