Ahhh... my favorite time of year, Beetmas!  This year I have decided to begin the traditional "Beetcracker contest" a little earlier. I noticed that in the stores they have Beetmas decorations up ALREADY! So... you know the routine, vote for the best Beetcracker!  Those of you that pick the winner will get your very own Beetmas ornament! Hey, even those of you that pick the loser will get something. (OK, so I don't have time this year to make new Beetcrackers... )  Just click on your favorite Beetcracker and email me! Make sure you include which Beetcracker is your choice, and a little bit about why you picked it.  I will post the responses!

Fair question, deserves an answer, BUT YOU WON'T GET ONE HERE!!!!  (Just kidding)  My love affair with beets started 3 years ago on my first trip to Russia. Beets for breakfast, beets for lunch, beets for dinner. Homemade beet juice (more like rocket fuel, but hey, it was.... interesting). I couldn't get enough BEETS!!!!  (I admit it, I am a beet junky.) So, after one trip to Russia and two trips to Ukraine I have decided that beets get a bum rap in the United States.
