The Modern Western Square Dance and Round Dance Clubs in the Rochester Area
Federation was started in 1958 to promote square dancing and coordinate square
dance and round dance activities in the region. The area has expanded to from
Buffalo on the west to Auburn on the east and from Lake Ontario on the north to
Dansville (Dalton) on the south.
Congratulations to Ron & Dorothy Brown on being selected the 2007
Norma-Daphne recipient.
The award is given for long time service to the square dance community. Ron has
been a caller for years for several clubs and has been the featured caller at
the NY State Fair.
Bob Meagher received the Outstanding Caller Award at the DOR upon his retirement
as from calling
