Welcome to the Office of Vocations of the Archdiocese of San Francisco!  We are all called by God to discipleship with Jesus Christ.  Further, we are invited to listen to the voice of the Holy Spirit and to discern how and where we are being called to serve God and God's people in our world.  It is hoped that the pages which follow will present various types of helpful information in the process of vocational discernment.

OUR MISSION

The mission of the Office of Vocations is to act in collaboration with the Archbishop in the work of promoting vocations, in the recruitment and supervision of candidates for the seminary, and in the call to sacred orders, particularly to the diocesan priesthood.   The Office of Vocations also works in partnership with others in the promotion of vocations to the religious and consecrated life as well as the diaconate.
