Be respectful to uncle Walt, the "sweaty-toothed madman"

Named after the movie staring Robin Williams, the Dead Poets Society of Milwaukee is a small group of people who meet every week to read and appreciate poetry. We read from our favorite poets, and sometimes dare to read some of our own works. There is no set forum for DPS. Anyone may read anything from prose to short stories. You could even read the back of a cereal box if you felt it had relevant value.

Todd's Poem

"I close my eyes, and this image floats beside me. A sweaty-toothed madman with a stare that pounds my brain. His hands reach out and choke me, and all the time he's mumbling. Mumbling truth, truth like a blanket that always leaves your feet cold. You push it, stretch it, it will never be enough, you kick at it, beat it, it will never cover any of us. From the moment we enter crying to the moment we leave dying, it will just cover your face, as you wail and cry and scream."
