SIZE: Each man is 4" x 5"
MATERIALS FOR SIX: Worsted weight yarn - 3 oz brown; 3 2/2 yds white 1/8"
rickrack; 18 green 4-mm faceted beats; 18 red 4 mm faceted beatd; 12 blue
4-mm faceted beads;
F crochet hook or size needed to obtin gauge.
GAUGE: 9 sc sts = 2"; 5 sc rows = 1"

GINGERBREAD MAN
Head
Rnd 1: ch 3, 11 hdc in 3rd ch from hook, join with sl st in top of ch-2 (12).
Rnd 2: Ch 1, 2 sc in each st around, join with sl st in first sc, fasten off. leaving 6" end for sewing (24).

Body
Row 1: Ch 9 sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in each ch across, turn (8).
Rows 2-8: Ch 1, sc in each st across, turn. Do not turn or fasten off at end of last row.
Row 9: For first arm, working in ends of rows, ch 1, sc in each of next 3 rows leaving remaining rows unworked, turn.
Rows 10-11: Ch 1, sc in each st across, turn.
Row 12: ch 1, skip first st, 3 sc in next st, sl st in last st, fasten off.
Row 9: For second arm, working in ends of rows on opposite side of Body, join brown with sc in row 6, sc in each of last 2 rows, turn (3).
Rows 10-12; Repeat same rows of first arm. Sew Head to top of Body between arms.

Legs
Row 1: For first leg, working on opposite side of row 1 on Body, with wrong side facing you, join with sc in first st, sc in ech of next 3 sts leaving remaining sts unworked, turn (4).
Rows 2-5: Ch 1, sc in each st across, turn.
Row 6: Ch 1, skip first st, sc in next st, 2 sc in next st, 3 sc in last st, sl st in end of row 5, fasten off.
Row 1: For second leg, working on opposite side of Row 1 on Body, with right side facing you. Join with sc in first st, sc in each of next 3 sts, turn
(4).
Rows 2-6: Repeat same rows of first leg.
For edging, working around entire outer edge, join with sc in end of first row on arm near Head, sc in each st and in end of each row around with sl st in each st around Head, join with sl st in first sc. Fasten off. Glue 21"
piece of rickrack, around outer edge of Gingerbread Man, overlapping ends and
trimming if necessary.
For eyes, glue two blue beads 1/8" apart over top of rnd 1 on head. For mouth, glue three red beads over bottom of rnd 1 on Head. For buttons, glue three green beads, evenly spaced to front of Body.

3 3/4 " round. slotted clothespins
Craft glue or double sided cellophane tape
Safety Pin.

Gauge: 16 dc and 8 rows = 2"

DRESS:
BODICE: With MC and leaving a 20" length at beginning for neck edging, ch 14
LOOSELY: being careful not to twist ch, join with slip st to form a ring.
Rnd 1: (right side): Ch 3 (counts as first dc, now and throughout), dc in same st, 2 dc in next ch, *ch 1 (dc, ch 1) 3 times in next ch (dc, ch 1)

Popcorn and Cranberry Garland

Worsted Weight Yarn
3/4oz white and 6 oz red
Hook size I
Guage In dc,7 sts =2"

CLUSTER: YO and draw up 3/4" lp in st, YO and draw thru 2 loops on hook 4 times, YO and draw thru all 5 lps now on hook chain 1.

TO CHANGE COLORS: insert hook in st, finish off clor just used; hook new color and pull through.

With white, Ch 3, work cluster in third chain from hook.

Turn cluster toward you until back of cluster is facing; sl st in same ch where cluster was just worked.

Rep 5 times, changing to red in sl st of last cluster

With Red rep twice, changing to white in sl st of last cluster.

Repeat to desired length.

Finish off weave in all ends.
