All About Shackelton
Shackelton is a male black labrador that my husband and I adopted at the Animal Shelter 2 weeks before we got married. I guess you could say that he was our wedding present to each other!

My Pet's Favorite Activities
Shackelton loves to chew on his chew rope or his bone. He also loves to chase the ball in the front yard, stylin' as he jumps in the air to get the ball after an exceptionally good bounce. His favorite thing though is swimming in the summer when it's hot. We'll either take him to the pond near our house or down to the Rio Grande where he will swim out to retrieve either his float toy or a stick...........whichever. He's not picky.

Funny Pet Stories
Shackelton has developed the wonderful habit of burping. He'll be sitting there looking at you and all of a sudden out comes a very audible burp and the look on his face never even changes, like nothing happened. I have also been very bad in encouraging him to have a caffeine habit along with myself and my husband. Every morning he waits nearby while I drink my latte and when I am getting near the bottom, over he comes and waits patiently for me to place my cup on the floor with a little at the bottom for him to have. It's that special mother/dog bond that we have I guess.
