--Damage to Ridgewood Road (home construction)
and Honeysuckle/ Greenbrier Entrances from Summer Glen work*
--Change of Lynnwood Rd. to No. 216th
(*=report below)
as of 10/7/07, I have reported these situations to Omaha City Council President and our representative of District #5:
 DAN WELCH
he has responded saying it will be attended to ASAP.
Omaha Prosecutor Marty Conboy forwarded the
photos and complaints of repairs to Public Works Director.
--CJ Bessey, President GHA
Special Christmas Judging was not performed by guest judge,
(having a personal health emergency that prevented judging)
but as an observer I would like to thank the Hummel's and
Wulfkuhl's for their annual display as well as the efforts by
many other residents and realizing many were not able
to put up display due to extreme cold temps and frozen
ground hindering their display attempts.
Some of you volunteered to weed and clean up entrance areas...
PLEASE do this before the ground freezes up. THANKS!

You can judge for yourself some of the nonsensical changes by Omaha.  Please make note of the change of the newly added street south of Common Ground called West Blondo changes to "Honeysuckle Drive" even though it is 3 blocks north of our Honeysuckle at Hwy 31/No. 204th though dead even with the existing gravel road section north of Greenbrier known as BLONDO STREET...and ALL this is supposed to be done for the CLARITY OF THE FIRE DEPT.--who evidently don't have access to any maps or computers.  One of my favorites is Skyline Rd becomes North Skyline Drive going north from Dodge but not changed to South Skyline Dr. south of Dodge. And No. Skyline near Greenbrier changes to Blondo for 75 yds, then changes to No. 209th St. next to Greenbrier-Not-a-real-Park, then changes name again to Park Rd.  Skyline Ranches changes are just plain out of spite changes...vastly circular or winding roads have numbered streets now to replace the old charming names.  Reporter Shiela Brummer has called me to do a story on the street changes for Channel 7, in response to my email but I was out of town for the day and am recontacting her via station email.

No title

Honeysuckle entrance to Greenbrier: south side post construction damage from Summer Glen project replaced sod with dirt and weeds in first 3 photos (one cannot even see the drainage culvert sewer cement cover as area covered with weeds)  and the 4th photo is North side of roadway as the area should resemble.

Ridgewood Road between North 211th & 212th Streets Home Construction site: Damage mainly to roadway from extreme weight of cement pump vehicle resulting in washboard waves of damage and cracks and disintegration of most all of area not only in front of home site but the entire street on either side for some distance on 212th and around 211th where blacktop is crushed or sagging from weight brought into the area that was not there before. The site has possibly been abandoned as we have not seen activity for at least 1 and 1/2 months with tall weeds growing on huge dirt pile. Any snowplows will run into the crumbly blacktop and further deterioration will occur in rain or freezing and thawing cycles of winter.
