***HUGE NEWS!!!***SB63 Passes in Massachusetts-September 6, 2007! http://www.accesstobirthcertificates.org/ as of Dec 5, 2007 adoptees are now able to obtain identifying informaton from their original birthcertificate. Vital Records Office Information located here Registry of Vital Records and Statistics Instructions & Application can be found by going to the main page of the site above, then to Publications. From there click on the link that reads Chapter 109 of the Acts of 2007: An Act Further Regulating Access to Birth Certificates. From there go to Documents and there are two links for information & an application. I cannot get the links to work on this page, but the above instructions should get you exactly where you need to go. After you have seen or have a copy of your birthcertificate go to this link Tips or here http://hometown.aol.com/Espaura/tips.html for what to do next.

This is a FREE adoption reunion registry exclusively for Massachusetts adoptees-birthparents-siblings & relatives of... currently in search. But you may find a few "strays" here; people searching for someone they have good reason believe may be in MA or adoptees born out of state that now live in MA, also birthmothers who resided in MA at time of birth or now reside in MA. So by all means if you are an adoptee, birthparent, relative or sibling searching anywhere, you should check the page that corresponds with the correct date of birth.

**ATTENTION to anyone who was once searching, who has found their birthfamily, yet still finds their outdated post at this site. Please email me espaura@aol.com to tell me that you are found so I can free up some webspace for others that are actively searching.. Just send me a quick a note telling me you are found, with the date of birth & category that you are posted under in the subject box or body of the note. I have way too many very old posts at this site taking up space. I just do not have the heart to remove them until I am certain they are founds.
Also, If you are posted at this site please check to see that your email and contact info is up to date. I have many posts currently online that are matches that I cannot make contact with because of invalid emails. It is always wise to give me your phone or address for my private file. See Invalid Email Page to see if your post has been inquired upon and found to have invalid contact info.
I also want to let you all know that I am not always able to check the registry for matches, so please check the registry frequently to see if a match came in and I missed it.

| In Massachusetts, identifying information may be released to an adult adoptee (age 21) and to birth parents if a placement agency has received written permission from both the adoptee and birth parent. An adoptee under the age of 18 may receive identifying information if he or she has the written permission of the adoptive parents. |
| Non-identifying information concerning medical, ethnic, socio-economic, and educational circumstances is available upon the request of adoptees (age 18), birth parent(s), and adoptive parents if the adoptee is younger than 18. The placement agency may also, at its discretion, release non-identifying information concerning the circumstances under which the adoptee was placed for adoption. |

Adoptees, have you ever thought of searching for your FOSTER PARENTS? I did it, and found them. We have met and had a wonderful afternoon. What nice people they are! They had me for the first 7 months of my life. They were thrilled to meet me!
If you wish to also search for your foster parents, Please add a note to your adoption registration when you fill out the form to REGISTER . Put this info in the "any other info you think is relevant box". I will add a note to your adoptee posting, referring to your search for your foster parents.
You should also go to your adoption agency and tell them you would like to find your foster parents. They will probably ask you to send a WAIVER so they can release your name and whereabouts to your foster parents. The Agency may even contact them for you. Your foster parents may have pictures of you as an infant, and may even be able to tell you more about your birthparents. (maybe even your last name)

Now many of your write to me to thank me profusely.... Please everyone, do not thank me. Just THANK GOD, as He is the one that decides which lost souls shall be reunited.. I encourage you to talk to HIM.. Not necessarily in a church, but alone, perhaps in bed before you close your eyes each night, whenever & wherever you can. I know for a fact that HE listens and if you just give HIM your faith, your prayers will be answered.. OH COULD I TELL YOU A STORY!
I always also make a point of thanking HIM for all that he has given me. And HIS gifts to me go on and on!!
