The

Registry's

REUNIONS!!

~~~
This is a new page... I hope to post reunion stories here. But I must confess I have not had a place for them in the past so it may take me a while to compile letters from all of you.. Anyone who would like their thank you letter to me posted here please send it to me via email espaura@aol.com. Everyone loves to hear read these!!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I have had sooooo many reunions in the years since I began this site in May of 1997, I can no longer even count them... Here are only a few of the many reunions this website has generated... New letters will always appear at the top. God Bless All!!

This pertains to the posting of 11-28-62, Miami, FL 'FOUND'.  Original date posted was 5-6-02 by Joseph Giordano, looking for his mom Jean Louise Dryden Laventure, etc. I am Jean and I wanted to know that this website made a HUGE difference! Joe and I corresponded via email from October 2003 to Dec. 2003, then by phone and email until August 6th. We both flew to Boston (both have family there) and met. We are so thrilled to have found each other and plan to continue the relationship. I have a grandson that I never would have known about if Joe had not posted his notice here. My niece was the one who found him and I will be eternally grateful.  I wanted you to know you made a difference and I have my beloved son back! Jean

Hi Sue,    You might not remember me, but in 1998, you helped me find my family. My old e-mail address was Mel37217. I have been off the internet for a few yrs, because I could not afford a computer or internet service until now. I would like to let you know that because of your valuable help, in guiding me to my family, I have found not only my mom and dad, but other siblings I did not know I had. Unfortunately, my mom and dad passed away before I could see them again. My brothers and sisters and their families welcomed me with open arms, and we've been together ever since. My search was so successful, that I hope all adoptees that go thru your registry, have the success that I had. I also found my aunts, uncles, and cousins. I am a great uncle several times. If you would like to post this, you may. I feel that all adoptees need encouragement, and maybe this will give them hope and inspiration in their searches. Please emphasize that they need to find a support group, because it helps. Feel free to e-mail me at any time.  We are planning on coming up and we would like to meet you and your organization. Thank you for all your special help. May God Bless you and your organization.                                                                                                              Sincerely,                                                                                                          Everett Melvin (Peyton) Trumpower

Dear Sue (My registry Angel)
            The sun is brighter.....The trees greener............The ocean bluer.........all because of you.For 36 years there was emptiness in my heart due to not knowing my son's whereabouts.On March 14,2001 on his birthday the voice I had longed to hear was on the phone and we spoke as if we had never parted.I knew then I had found an angel when he said that as soon as possible he would like to meet me.His job has him out at sea for weeks at a time and waiting for him to return seemed endless.The time had come and we bonded so fast.Being only 15 when I had given birth had people telling us we look  like brother and sister.Once again he is out at sea and I look forward to his return.
             I  would at this time like to tell those who are presently searching to make prayer part of their search as did I.God hears all our prayers but,the world is a big place and not only your prayers can he answered.He will decide when the time is right for you and yours to find each other.I know this is true for I had to wait 36 years.
I cried many of those years but,never gave up hope and neither should you.It was something that someone once said to me that gave me faith to go on and it wa"When God puts a tear in your eye,it's to make room for a rainbow in your heart"So,please remember those words as you wait to find your loved one as did I.I have seen my rainbow and found my son ,who I consider to be"My pot of gold sent by God at the end of the my rainbow"
             Sue, I extend my love and thank-yous to you still as I continue to pray for you and all of  many people in your registry.I hope you all see your rainbows soon and are blessed with a pot of gold as was I with such a beautiful loving caring son,who without your help Sue I  never would have met.My life is now complete and I hope you get all the best that life has to offer you.Please make my E-Mail address available to all who need  someone to encourage them to continue for the wait was long but,my prayers were answered and will theirs with time and prayer.
God Bless You and Yours Sue,
Love Maureen

My entire family would like to send out a warm thank you. My family had
searched for my mothers missing siblings for YEARS. We had found her two
brothers a few years ago and just couldn't find her sister who had been
adopted, until Monday 2-5-01.. I looked on your website and there she was.
My mother has been in contact with her and the family is finally complete.
I would like to say for anyone out there searching for their loved one's,
don't give up...  Monica ( my new found Aunt) now has a sister, two brothers
and lots of niece's and nephews.
We are planning a meeting this summer.

Thank you again,
Linda

Sue,

I've been trying to find the words to express to you how much you changed my life this weekend. I thought that I had possiblity found a match to one of my brother I have been searching for many years. The e-mail address listed was no good, so I e-mailed you and asked if you had another contact for him and to please give him my e-mail address. Well, you wrote me back the next day and gave me his new e-mail address, his name and phone number. I also had an e-mail from him right after yours.

To make a long story short. We exchanged information a few times via e-mail then it got to the point that we needed to actually talk. We exchanged pictures and at this point neither one of us had any doults that he was my brother. I called the adoption agency yesterday morning and they confirmed it. HE IS MY BROTHER!!!!!!

If it wasn't for you and your site, we would have never found each other. I gained a brother and he gained 3 sisters, and 6 brothers. (We still have one that I am searching for) His plate is running over. I can never put into words the joy that I am feeling. All of this took place in just 3 days after reading the posting. I know that you must be one of gods angels here on earth.

So please post "found" under postings Male adoptee DOB 1/8/54 and under Sibling looking DOB 53/54. (until Saturday I never know his actual DOB).

Now only one more brother to find and this family will finally be complete.

Thank you and God Bless you.

Cathie Smith

Dear Sue.

Here's another success story for you. After talking to my sister one Sunday about the baby she'd given up for adoption almost 30 years ago, I decided to see what I could learn on the Internet. I found your site and a posting from a young man born on the right date and in the right place. The Agency has since confirmed the relationship. This may have been one of the fastest searches ever -- less than an hour ( for me; he'd posted about two years ago.) It's taken much longer to confirm, but now we can look forward to getting acquainted and someday meeting. My sister is so relieved and excited to know that he is okay.

Dear Sue,

Hi.. um. I was found yesterday afternoon by the older sister of the daughter I gave up for adoption 17 years ago. She was looking for another relative on the Massachusetts registry site, and stumbled across my listing there for Bonnie, called their mom, and next thing I knew, I

was on the phone with the woman I gave my baby to all those years ago, laughing and crying and learning among other things that I am a grandmother.

I want to thank you so much for providing the registry. Without it, Iwould still be in that limbo land of the unknowing. I will keep you posted as to the progress on our reunion.

Thank you,

Jenn Thomas-Yamaguchi

(Found by Bonnie Jennifer Perry, 1980's adoptee, so you can clear that (from your listing. YAY!!!)

Dear Sue,

Thank you for all your help. Because of you I was able to locate my father. I called him yesterday and we talked for 4 hrs. I just now got off the phone with him and we are going to meet for the very first time in about 20 min. Thank you so much and God Bless You.

I couldn't believe my eyes today...first when I found your site, which I had never seen before...then to find my daughter listed!!! I have prayed to find her for 24 years, and began looking for her a year ago. Coincidentally, two months before she posted on your site. I hope that the e-mail address listed still works for her. I left a message for her to call me collect. Now I can only wait, hope and pray. I'm crying as I write this. I can never thank you enough. (Her birthdate is 2-10-74, born at Simms Hospital)

Thanks again!

Kim

Dear Sue, Your registry is the only one I registered on and fate led my birthparents to it as well. They are still together, married with two sons. I met them all

last night and it was really wonderful. Thank you so much for doing such a great job maintaining this registry. You have made an incredible difference in my life. Thank you,

Sue......transfer me from your SEARCHING category to your FOUND category!!!!!! The info y ou sent me concerning three matches named Corley in Massachusetts led me to my birth mother, whose name is now Agnes Ford. We have spoken on the phone (she was ECSTATIC!!) We write regularly and are trying to find the money for her and her husband to fly down here as soon as possible. God bless you and the work you do to help folks like us. I'm in my 40s and she is in her 60s and her health is not good. If not for you, we might not have found each other in time.......Thanks again, Sue!!!!! Post this if you like........With love and gratitude.......Dustysings

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Now many of your write to me to thank me profusely.... Please everyone, do not thank me. Just THANK GOD, as he is the one that decides which lost souls shall be reunited.. I encourage you to talk to HIM.. Not necessarily in a church, but alone, perhaps in bed before you close your eyes each night.. I know for a fact that HE listens and if you just give HIM your faith, your prayers will be answered.. OH COULD I TELL YOU A STORY!
I always also make a point of thanking HIM for all that he has given me. And HIS gifts to me go on and on!!
