The
First Massachusetts Volunteer Cavalry is a history-oriented,
educational,
non-profit organization. Formed in 1984, it is composed of individuals
from New England who share the common interest of promoting our Civil
War
heritage; in particular, that of the cavalry trooper.
Authentically uniformed and
armed
as Federal volunteer cavalry, the unit strives to portray
Massachusetts'
premier cavalry regiment. We also have members that portray male and
female
civilians, involving
themselves in period roles and activities. Family
members are welcomed and encouraged to join.
