The tragedy that occurred in this house on the night of November 14,1974 was just that,a tragedy, and nothing more.The subsequent books and movies that were released made a lot of money for some people and gave the residents of Amityville a great deal of unwanted publicity.
I included these pictures reluctantly,but I understand that most visits to my web page are due to the interest in this case.The Defeo house is actually one of the most beautiful residences in the village,and there are many more just as beautiful.
