Harmonica Star Revue

The Harmonica Star Revue features Roger and Eileen playing a variety of different and interesting harmonicas. They play chromatic harmonicas, little 10-hole diatonic harmonicas, the huge bass harmonica and the world's smallest and largest harmonicas-- a tiny 1-inch harmonica and a two-foot long chord harmonica.

The duet provides a lively musical show that combines the sight, sounds and interests of the harmonica with full accompaniment to provide a rich, full sound. Their musical selections and special arrangements include music for all interests -- big band, love ballads, Latin, country, gospel, blues and, of course, the old standard harmonica favorites like the world-famous Harmonicats arrangments of "Peg of My Heart" and "Cherry Pink and Apple Blossom White".

The Harmonica Star Revue is a professional harmonica show that combines unique music, charming humor and audience rapport to provide sparkling entertainment which is appealing to all ages. However, their memory music of the 1940's '50's and ... strike a special accord with the "over 50" age group.

Eileen Dorsey is one of the founding members of the original Harmonica Star Revue begun over 25 years ago. In addition to the Star Revue, she has accompanied many other professional harmonica players through the years. .

Roger Nealeigh joined the trio in 1996. He taught diatonic, chromatic, and blues harmonica throughout northeast Ohio. He has served as President of the Rubber Capital Harmonica Club (Akron, Ohio) and founded the Firehouse Harmonica Gang (Chardon, Ohio).

What's Been Happening...

BIG NEWS! After over 30 years of entertaining audiences all across the eastern United States, the Harmonica Star Revue will be retiring at the end of the 2007 season. Eileen and Roger (along with Leo, Rex, Frank, Judy, and the many other members of the Star Revue through the years) have enjoyed the privilege of entertaining and meeting so many warm and wonderful people. But it is time to look for new outlets and activities. We thank you for your patronage and friendship through the years.

We will both continue our harmonica playing. Eileen and Roger both play country music in LaFayette, Ohio on Friday nights (Eileen is playing electric bass and, in addition to his country harp, Roger in playing dobro guitar.) And 1st & 3rd Monday evenings finds us at the Deerfield Township hall playing with a dance band from 7-9:30 p.m. We will also be in Florida January through March both playing at country jams, as well as spending a little more time on the beach.
