Discovery Center of Idaho,

Boise Public Library
is right across Capital St. from Julia Davis Park. Search their database
from home! Cool!
Ada Community
Library
Home-school Skates - at Skate World, in Boise, on the third Friday of
every month; at Roller Dome, in Nampa, on the third Thursday of
every month
Boise Basque Museum
- I'm not positive which street it's on. It's in downtown
Boise. Idaho has the second-largest population of Basque people in the
world. :o)
You can check-out the Idaho State
Capital in Boise, on Capital Blvd. :o) - It's neat!
Lucky Peak Resevoir - East of Boise, on Hwy. 21 (Warm Springs Ave.)
- There're Discovery State and Lucky Peak State Parks,
for swimming. There's a beach at Lucky Peak State Park - cool!

Square Mall - Boise on Milwaulkie St.: Dillard's, Mervyn's,
J.C. Penny's, Sear's, Walden's Book Store, Orange Julius,
Kiddie Kandid's Photography and tons more! It has the most "Beanie
Baby stores" in one place! ;o)
Ann Morrison Park - Boise, large like Julia Davis Park, on Americana
Blvd.
Municipal Park - one of Boise's oldest parks, on Walnut St. in North-
east Boise. (My favorite "small" park.)
Kathryn Albertson Park - Boise, across Americana Blv. from Ann Morrison
Park; has a nice foot path through it
Sunset Park - in North-west Boise. Play equipment for kids.
Don't miss the old-time fiddlers' contest in Weiser, ID, in June! The
Best!!!
Go to the Y.M.C.A., in west Boise, and pick up a copy of the local runs
that are held across the valley. Many are for children.

Idaho Botanical Garden
- You can go on a tour of the old Idaho State Penitentiary at this location,
too - facinating!
Morrison Center
- schedule of events for theatrical and musical productions comming to
Boise
Boise River Festival
- in June, along the Boise River! :o) It boasts the Night
Lights Parade through downtown Boise. :o) TONS of fun and very crowded!

Western Idaho
Fair - Boise fair grounds on Chinden and Glenwood, in
west Boise. It's a BLAST!!! Try the corn-on-the cob, Idaho baked
potatoes, Ada County Sherrif's food booth, and icecream potatoes -
all are Idaho's own! :o) Yummy too!!! Fair held in August.

Fourth-of-July - fireworks at the Boise Fairgrounds - spectacular
production!!!
Boise Outlet Mall - east Boise
Ice skating - indoors, by Boise Outlet Mall
Harrison Classic Children's Run - on Harrison Blvd., in north Boise,
in October (This run's our favorite.)
St. Alphonsus Kids' Classic Run - on Capital Blvd., in Boise, in late
May
Festival of Trees - Boise, on the Grove, downtown - MORE
CHRISTMAS TREES AND LIGHTS THAN YOU CAN IMAGINE!!!!!!!
TONS OF WONDERFUL FUN!!! It boasts The Teddy Bear Tea, for very young
to 2nd-graders. This is WONDERFUL!!!!!!! Tea and Festival have great
entertainment!!! Festival has story-book characters that come
to life - pantomime! I give it four stars on a scale of one to four!!!

McCall
Winter Carnival - in McCall, ID - about 111 miles away, but well
worth the trip!!! Snow sculptures and lots of fun in about
February. :o)
Bogus Basin Ski

Yellowstone National Park's
not that far away - one, maybe two days driving (depends on how young your
children are *grin*) from Boise - just over the border of Idaho and
in Wyoming and Montana

and food!
Red Robin - by mall in Boise and on Park Center Blvd. in east Boise
- great burgers!

and by mall in Boise - great Mexican food!!!
Olive Garden - by mall in Boise - great Italian food and
service!
The Beanery - downtown Boise
Lardo's - McCall, ID - fantastic with great atmosphere and
food!
