That's me up there,, pretty amazing huh??!!Im Joe , nice to see you,, The top picture was taken when i weighed 287 lbs, in march of this year,,,the second picture was taken last week at 218 lbs!!!!! I've lost 68.2 lbs. I joined Weight Watchers, and Ballys Gym, Ive returned to work, and i enjoy seeing everyone who havent seen me since i lost weight. The reactions went from, amazed to screams!! I loved it!!! Everyone couldnt stop telling me how great I looked, I also hear alot of people say I looked like a new man!!! A completly different person!!! If you need to loose some weight, do it!! Its the greatest thing Ive ever done for myself !!! I feel great, Im told I look great, I feel younger, Im wearing size 38 jeans now, I used to wear size 44. Nothing tastes better than being fit!!!!

Some interesting facts:
1) I am more than 1/2 way to goal 68.2 lost / 48.9 to go!!!!
2) 1.8 more lbs lost and I will have lost 70 lbs!!
My next goal is 217,,, my weight when i quit weight watchers 9 yrs ago!! That will be 70 lbs of life sucking horrible fat gone forever!!! I have not been that weight since March 19,1990, (the last time i joined Weight Watchers) and 20 yrs ago when i lived in Tucson Arizona, I lost alot of weight then too.
NEWS FLASH!!!.... HATE AEROBICS??!! I DO,, AND I DONT DO AEROBICS!!!,, MODERATE EXERCISE BURNS MORE FAT THAN AEROBICS ACORDING TO THE ACSM (American College of Sports Medicine, considered to be the experts on exercise, published this info in 1990, also see Cathy Smiths "Fat Burn Workout" also see Covert Bailey's "Fit or Fat" book, or video,,, FAT BURN EXERCISE IS NOT HARD ENTENSE EXERCISE LIKE TRADITIONAL AEROBICS ( known as "CARDIO" ) TRADITIONAL AEROBICS BURNS LESS FAT!! CARDIO GROWS THE HEART AND LUNGS, IF YOU EXERCISE FOR AT LEAST 40 MINUTES AT A MODERATE (known as "FAT BURN") PACE,,, NOT TOO HARD TO TALK, NOT HUFFFING AND PUFFING, BUT YOU SHOULD NOT BE ABLE TO SING ,,, YOU WILL BURN MORE FAT THAN AEROBICS!!! ASK ANY TRAINER, THIS IS A FACT!!! I DONT KNOW WHY ITS NOT MORE WELL KNOWN..SO THE GOOD NEWS IS EXERCISE LESS, AND BURN MORE FAT!!!!!!!! THROW AWAY ALL THOSE STUPID AEROBICS OUTFITS, AND START WALKING AND SWINGING YOUR ARMS!!!!!

MY EXERCISE ROUTINE (this past week)
I will be back at work soon, so i am changing my routine once again. Change is important so you dont get bored. I also think that the amount of exercise that i do is unrealistic for a working person. I am going to do less exercise, and see if it becomes my permanent routine.
EVERY OTHER DAY
30 MINUTES ELLIPTICAL CROSS TRAINER
30 MINUTES LIFECURCUIT MACHINES
15 MINUTES STRETCHING
15 MINUTES BSing with friends at gym
when I dont go I try to ride my bicycle, or walk at the beach, or even go surfing in the ocean, not the net. I have found that exercise has changed my mental health totally !!!! I have new energy, I feel great, and I'm looking better. Before I started my Weight Loss, I never exercised, I did not think I could exercise. I thought I'd let myself go too far, and I thought I was too lazy,, WRONG!!!
4 months ago I was Fat, Lazy, and Miserable. I had been commuting to NYC for 25 yrs, and working as a Construction Superintendent. Because of the all the stress, I got real unhappy. Thank God I got laid off (thanks Howie) and began my Weight Loss. I put off loosing weight for years, I wanted to be off work before i did it,, I kept saying, for years,, 'If I get laid off I will loose weight" in construction your always on the verge of getting laid off (an easy way to put it off going on a diet) Except I never got laid off.. Finally it happened after 5 years of wishing for it. (again thanks Howie) I really needed a break before something horrible happened, like a stroke or a heart attack, trust me I was FAT!!! Lazy!!, and Truly Unhappy. So with severence pay, a big tax return, and unemployment I decided to take 6 months off and put my body where my mouth was!!
Diet and Exercise is the Magic pill folks!!!
It has made my life better!!
We all have to try to make the connection between 3 essential elements of ourselves!!
MIND / BODY / SPIRIT

If I can do it anybody can, I stagnated on the couch for 10 yrs, and gained 70 lbs,,, now I have removed 68 of those horrible pounds, and I may have never felt better!!! I hope to loose 70 lbs before I go back to work at the end of august.(only 1.8 lbs to go to that goal)
Right below is a picture of my son Joey, hes 16 ,, more about him below.
Joey is 16 years old, he goes to W.T.Clarke High School, on Long Island, hes in the marching Band, one of the Best on the east coast!! They won a contest in Pennsylvania aganst 100 other bands!!! Hes also on the Varsity volleyball team even though hes in 10th grade!! He gets alot of kills, and he was also awarded the underclassmen M.V.P. award!! As if that wasnt enough hes the captain of the J.V. Soccer team too, where he makes alot of goals!! He's got just a little obsession with aliens. Like myself, he is also into motorcycles.
He has a few future goals also. He is taking many computer design classes in school. His next years schedule includes 5 computer design classes. He hopes to go to college for computer graphics and internet design. I guess I could ask him for a little help on this site.
