   Just 10 rows to finish this little beret!

 

This is an updated version of the berets I made for my daughter when she

was a babe. They`re cute for dolls too. Sorry I didn’t have a baby to model

for me; the size is about 15”to 16”.

 

Materials:

*A few oz of a soft worsted wt. yarn

*Size K crochet hook

 

Size is about 15”/16”

8 sts in dc = 3”

 

Ch 4, join with a sl st to form a ring.

1: Ch 3, work 11 dc in ring. Join to top of ch 3, do not turn. (12sts)

2: Ch3, dc in same st, 2 dc in each st around. Join. (24sts)

3: Ch 3, 2 dc in next st, (dc in next st, 2 dc in next) around.

Join. (36sts)

4: Ch 3, dc in same st, dc in each of next 2 sts, (2 dc in next st, dc in

next 2 sts) around. Join. (48sts)

5: Ch 3, dc in next 2 sts, 2 in next, (dc in next 3 sts, 2 in next) around.

Join. (60sts)

6: Ch 3, dc in each st around. Join.

7: Ch 3; dc in next 2 sts, dc dec over next 2 sts, (dc in next 3 sts, dec)

around. Join.

8: Ch 1, sc in next st, sc dec over next 2 sts, (sc in next 2 sts, dec)

around. Join. (36sts)

9: Ch 2, hdc in each st around. Join.

10: Ch 2, hdc in back loop of each st around. Join.

Fasten off and weave in loose ends.
