My Mother lived a short, but full, life in Conyers, Georgia. She shared a happy home with her husband of 25 years, raised 3 children and saw them be married, became a grandmother, worked for the Federal Government for 30 years and retired... all by the age of 50. By the late Spring of 1997, she unknowingly had developed a cerebral aneurysm and on May 24 it had started leaking. She was taken from Rockdale Hospital to Emory University Hospital near Atlanta. The medical staff did all they could, but within a weeks time, the aneurysm had completely ruptured. She is missed by her family and friends.

On December 6, 2005, I met the one person I have been searching for my whole life. I met my son. So many years I have longed for a son. Twice before in my life I lost pregnancies. The loss I had in June 2004 was a son. The earlier loss was too early to tell.
Brian was born 3 months early at 27 weeks gestation. This was due to cervical incompetency and placental abruption. At birth he weighed 2 pounds 8 ounces. As of today, November 1, 2007, he is just about 30 pounds.
Brian is the joy of my life. He is a happy toddler and very smart. And he wants his mommy all the time. He likes daddy too.
I thank The Lord each day for letting me experience this wonderous gift. Motherhood is truly a blessing.

Tidings from afar...
In May 2001, when I began this webpage as a tribute to my Mother's life and her memory, I had no idea that it would reach around the world. I have had responses from Germany, Canada, England, and all over the United States. Recently, strangers have been emailing me and sharing their stories of loss, survival, spiritual growth, and love of butterflies. I have received poems, links, emailed pictures and all sorts of things from folks.
It makes me speechless and humbles me to think that The Whole World knows a little about my Mom - Alice Stockton DeBroux - and her Earthly journey and her reunion with The Lord. I remember making the comment to someone at my Mother's funeral that I hope people will never forget her. My Mother traveled to different parts of the world in her lifetime. She continues to visit around the globe as a memory. A memory sent by a daughter who misses her terribly.
