Your journey through the forest has been a long one. You are tired and worn. Suddenly you spot a twinkle of light in the distance. Your curiosity strengthens you to go on and follow the light. The light flits through the trees leading you to a place beyond the edge of the forest. A place you have never been before, a misty marsh you never knew existed. The light is joined by several other small beings of light and you are safely guided through...
Beyond the mist in the land of fairies and magick you will find Candleberry Cottage; where the hearth burns warmly and magickal workings can be seen from it's small lattice windows. Smoke from a burning hearth fire is coming out of the chimney. The flowers that surround the cottage are somehow always in full bloom no matter what the season. Their wondrous scent and that of fresh herbs can be smelled everywhere. The cottage beckons you to come closer...closer, just by it's warm inviting charm.
As you approach the ornately carved wooden door you can smell the scent of freshly baked goods. The door slowly opens and the old hearth witch greets and welcomes you warmly. Her slightly rounded body and warm smile reminds you of an old friend.
"Welcome, welcome to Candleberry Cottage, please come in. I've been expecting you."
As you enter the cottage you are surrounded by a warmth and charm like you have never felt before. The fire in the hearth adds a soft glow to the room while above it simmers a small cauldron of vegetable soup. The antique dining table offers freshly baked breads, buttery spreads and sweet preserves. A white wicker basket filled with fresh flowers, garden herbs and vegetables serves as a centerpiece.
Soft colored quilts are stacked about everywhere. Puffy large pillows decorate the chairs and sofa at the far side of the large room. Needlework baskets sit on the old hardwood floor full of sewing and knitting projects. One of the soft sage colored walls displays a handmade quilt; its squares tells the story of the cottage and the fae that protect it.
The Hearth Witch gently takes your hand and leads you towards the table. She begins to speak.
"Make yourself comfortable my friend, I'm sure your journey has been a long one. I have set a place for you at the table. Please join me as I have much to share with those who have traveled so far and wish to listen."
The old hearth witch begins to share with you her magickal secrets and teachings. They are all for the taking, the rest is up to you.
