Heppers... A - B - C - D - E - F - G- AIH... (thus the name) whatever the shape or form,
you're welcome. All we ask is that you "leave your disease at the door". There
are other support groups that deal with the disease .... this room is for fun ... to chat
but not have to deal with your illness ... to get away and be with others who share a
common foundation. The room is open 24 hours, 7 days a week ... so drop in when online and
if no one is there ... check back before you sign off ... chances are you aren't the only

PROTOCOL FOR:
Personal Empowerment (AOL Only)
1. Please, do NOT greet each person as they arrive in the PEN room. This is OK to do when
the chat first starts, within the first five minutes of the chat..but after that, it is
very disruptive and it really confuses the guest speaker when we have one, and it confuses
the new people.
2. Please, do NOT say bye to each person that leaves the room. IF you want to do this, do
so by using your INSTANT MESSAGE feature. (Double click on the person's name, click on
send instant message)
3. Please, IF you have a question for the guest speaker, OR for whoever is talking at the
moment, type a "?" (question mark) on the screen. Jim (HEPWARRIOR) will let you
know when it is YOUR TURN to ask a question.
4. Please, IF you have a comment to make about something that is said, type an
"!" (exclamation mark) on the screen, and Jim (HEPWARRIOR) will let you know
when it is your turn to comment.
PLEASE, do not send an IM to either Jim (HEPWARRIOR) or Vikki (VIKKISM) while they are
hosting the chat unless it is IMPORTANT! We get a LOT of these and when we do, we can NOT
see the screen and observe the chat.
We know that this is changing the former protocol rules that were previously in place,
where an instant message was sent to Jim with a "?" in the body of the IM when
wanted to ask a question... This is not working very well, as it blocks the view of the
screen and the chat can not be viewed.
The above protocol is what has been set in place BY AOL... (NOT US)
Please, adhere to their policy. We love each and everyone of you. ALL of you have VALUABLE
