THE STORY

You are asleep. You have been asleep a very long time, moving from one dream to the next. One dream in particular has been playing over and over. You see a girl, a strange girl. The odd, alien face cries out to you in despair. Her lips mouth silent words, which although you cannot hear, you nonetheless understand. "Help me. Help me." she pleads.

Her agony grips you. Something is drastically wrong and frightens you. You awake, but don't wake. Instead you drift off into another dream.

A gnawing feeling in the pit of your stomach tells you that you should have awakened long ago. A tremor shoots from head to toe as you realize you cannot escape your dreams.

Your brain, instantly alert, tries desperately to assess the situation, intelligence straining against the abstract. Reason finally offers you a plan. You frown - a pathetic plan. You decide next time you see that strange girl, you're going to help her.
