PLOT SYNOPSIS

"Kathryn Grayson...played the youngest of Dutchman (!) S.Z. Sakall's seven daughters, all of whom live in a Dutch community in Michigan. Plot had reporter Van Heflin covering a tulip festival in the village and, in the process, falling for Miss Grayson. Trouble is, family tradition has it that none of the other daughters may marry before the eldest...thus leading to all sorts of romanctic complications..."
- Clive Hirschhorn, The Hollywood Musical

NOTES

"Period musical frou-frou inspired by Pride and Prejudice. So light it almost floats."
- Halliwell's Film & Video Guide
