DAMERON-DAMRON REUNION
PLEASE JOIN US THIS YEAR IN NASHVILLE, TENNESSE FOR OUR ANNUAL DAMERON-DAMRON  ASSOCIATION FAMILY REUNION

  

HELLO TO ALL AND HOPE YOU WILL JOIN US AGAIN FOR
OUR ANNUAL DDFA REUNION

We are very excited about our reunion this year as it will be held at the Historical Scarritt-Bennett Center in downtown Nashville, Tennessee.

The reunion dates are Thursday afternoon  August -14- 2008 until Sunday morning  August -17- 2008.
Our meeting and buffet will be held Saturday August 16th
starting at 11:00 a..m. in the Lansky Building of the Scarritt-Bennett Center until 5 p.m. with a buffet being served at 1 p.m.
The cost is 25.00 per person for the buffet. Please let me know ASAP if you plan to attend our meeting and/or join us for our meal. This will be a catered affair so please respond by July14th, 2008.

Built in 1924, the Scarritt-Bennett Center was originally built as a Missionary Training School. In 1981 Scarritt College became Scarritt Graduate School, providing educational degrees in Church Music and Christain Education. When the College closed it's doors in 1988, the woman's division of the United Methodist Church purchased the buildings and grounds and opened it up as a non-profit conference retreat and educational center. The Scarritt Bennett Center is located in downtown Nashville within 1.6 miles of the Tennessee Archives, Library and Courthouse for those interested in research. There is also bus service for those that would like to ride to downtown destinations.

For those of you that wish to stay at the Scarritt-Bennett Center, single rooms with a bathroom connection are 45.00 a night, and an upgrade with a TV in the room, 62.00 a night. Double bed accommodations are also available. These are renovated, carpeted dorm rooms with a single bed and 2 rooms connect to one bathroom. Locks and dead bolts are on both sides of the shared bathroom doors.

*Please note that the Scarritt-Bennett Center is both aclcohol and tobacco free.

For those of you flying in, there is a shuttle to and from Scarritt Bennett Center @ 11.00 one way or 17.00 round trip.

In addition to Dameron-Damron Family Association members and their families, we also welcome non-members and we extend a special welcome to our cousins from related families, such as the West Virginia Marcums, Copleys and Perrys who have been a welcome addition to our reunions in recent years. So please join us again this year in Nashville, Tennessee for research and fun.

This year we are asking that you bring pictures (copies) of your ancestors, either displayed on poster board or in books to share with others. If you have any "unknown's" please bring them and of course bring any information you would like to share with others. We will have several computers set up for sharing family research and there will be several copy machines available.
