pray for us,

and especially for your little ones

in danger of abortion!   

Prayer for the Helpless Unborn

Heavenly Father, in Your love for us, protect against the wickedness of the devil, those helpless little ones to whom You have given the gift of life.  Touch with pity the hearts of those women pregnant in our world today who are not thinking of motherhood.  Help them to see that the child they carry is made in Your image -- as well as theirs -- made for eternal life.  Dispel their fear and selfishness and give them true womanly hearts to love their babies and give them birth and all the needed care that a mother alone can give.  We ask this through Jesus Christ, Your Son, Our Lord, Who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, on God, forever and ever, Amen.

A Pro-Life Prayer for Our Nation

God Our Father, Giver of life,
we entrust the United States of America
to Your loving care.
You are the rock
on which this nation was founded.
You alone are the true source
of our cherished rights
to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
Reclaim this land for Your glory
and dwell among Your people.

Send Your Spirit to touch the hearts
of our nation's leaders.
Open their minds
to the great worth of human life
and the responsibilities that accompany human freedom.
Remind Your people that true happiness
is rooted in seeking and doing Your will.

Through the intercession of
Mary Immaculate, Patroness of our land,
grant us the courage to reject
the "culture of death."
Lead us into a new millennium of life.
We ask this through Christ Our Lord.

Prayer for Human Life

Father, we praise you for the work of your hands.  For human life, made in your image, for the gift of your Son who saved our nature, for the power of your Spirit, who fills our hearts, for all you bestow upon us, we praise you, we thank you, we bless you.  Help us to protect the life you gave us: support the aged, guide the young, lift up the failing, and heal the sick.  To all people grant your truth in its fullness.  May those who are yet unborn soon see the light of day and live to give you glory, through Christ our Lord.

Lord of All Life

Lord of All Life, Father, Most High, Maker of heaven, the stars, and the sky, Life that goes on just as it should, Made in your image, "It is good."

Every young child, stranger and friend, Able or not, and all near their end, Those who are weak, body and soul--Send them Your Spirit, make them whole.

As we have seen, so have we heard; Faith has revived us, faith in your Word.  Help us protect all those who live That we may love the gift you give.

As you foretold, faith would be free.  As you once promised, Lord, let it be.  Send wisdom here, now through your Son.  Let light descend and make us one.

  A Prayer for Unborn Human Life  

O Almighty God, Creator of Heaven and earth and all things, you create today millions of human beings who are never permitted to see the light of day because of the sin of abortion. Grant to mankind the wisdom to respect human life at every stage of development. You infuse souls into innocent babies even while still in their mothers' wombs, their temporary homes. Grant that no one deprive your most innocent ones the privilege of your holy baptism whereby they may be born again to your supernatural life by grace.

One soul in Your eyes, Almighty God, is of more value than the whole created universe. Accept the precious blood of Your Son Jesus Christ present on our alters and in tabernacles throughout the world in reparation for the sins of abortive murder.

Even before Your Divine Son was born of Mary, dear God, when Your holy Mother greeted Elizabeth shortly after the conception of the Divine Child. Elizabeth asked, "How am I worthy that the Mother of my Lord should come to me?" Long before the birth of the Divine Child the Holy Spirit inspired Elizabeth to call Mary "Mother" and the unborn Child, her "Lord"

Almighty God, remove the scourge of abortion from the face of the earth. Amen.

Dear God, Father of Us All, Through Mary, our beloved heavenly Mother, You sent to us baby Jesus, our dearest Brother.  Mary prayed for wisdom from above She sought help, strength, and love.  I pray that, like Mary, new mothers bend their knee Asking for courage, strength, and love as their plea, Love to understand the right path and way Courage to seek help and courage to pray, To pray for this life, and to pray each day, To ask for strength to stand with You As You help bear their fearing what to do. They know it is life they have given It is life that they carry.  Let them hold this life dear Nurturing life without fear.  Because Your love will sustain them And You will protect them And lead them to safety in their valley of tears.  We ask you this, O Lord, we pray, In the name of Jesus, Christ our Lord, today.  Amen.

Prayer  for Reverence for Life

Almighty God, giver of all that is good, we thank You for the precious gift of human life:

- for the life in the womb, coming from Your creative power,

- for the life of children, making us glad with their freshness and promise,

- for the life of young people, hoping for a better world,

- for the life of people who are disabled, teaching us that every life has value,

- for the life of the elderly, witnessing to the ageless values of patience and wisdom.

Like Blessed Mary, may we always say “YES” to your gift.

May we defend it and promote it from conception to its natural end. And bring us at last, O Father, to the fullness of eternal life in Jesus Christ our Lord.  Amen.

  Prayer for the Respect of Human Life

Lord, in this life we have many crosses to bear, And we have no desire to have any other burdens on our shoulders. For this reason, we ask You to help keep us Chaste in mind, soul, and body.  To be chaste in mind, is to be chaste In thought.  To be chaste in soul is to be chaste in heart.  To be chaste in body, is to be chaste In our daily actions Towards others and ourselves.  Sometimes in our actions we do make mistakes, And we are sorry for them.  Sometimes the consequences from those actions are easily put aside, yet sometimes these consequences Can lead to choices that go against your will, Such as taking the life of an unborn child.  Although society condones this terrible act, It goes against the values You call us to hold dear to our hearts.  All unborn children are sacred and human, And they deserve a chance to live as we do.  Please Lord, open the hearts of all men and pregnant women considering an abortion, and all who are for  abortion, to help Them make the choice that is according to Your will, To respect all human life,  Especially that of an unborn child.  Amen
