Lone Star Felines Rainbow Bridge Tribute
We are furry sad to say we have had to place our first rainbow by one of our Honorary
Texan's names.. M&M, one of our furry first Honorary Texans crossed
Rainbow Bridge 15 July, 2000. M&M was a furry special kitty, and we send
our Texas purrs to his brofur Lloyd and his Meowmie and Deowdie. We will
miss M&M, and he will always be in our thoughts. M&M was MGD's secret pal
in CLAW Flower Society and that was how we got to know him. M&M also helped
Spyder & MGD with their DCH doctorate paper for CLAW. Lloyd misses M&M
furry much, as we all do.
M&M, kitty angel, will be watching over us and
purring at the Bridge while he waits for all of us.

We want to honor our brofurs and sisfurs who have gone to Rainbow Bridge. We
will list Honorary Texans, Lone Star Felines memfurs, and siblings of our memfurs
here, and pay tribute to those wonderful kitties that have crossed the Bridge.
Click on the kitty's picture to see more about them and visit their
sites. They are listed in order of their crossing. |
BabyCat
A furball of mischief,
But as sweet as could be,
BabyCat
was always running,
Scurrying, and climbing the tree.
Close
to Meowmie
She always stayed.
Licking and kneading,
And with
toys she played.
A beautiful leader
Of CLAW kitties she became.
To
help and love each one
Was her aim.
Never a “No”,
“I
don’t have time.”
BabyCat was truly
A kitty sublime.

M&M 2 Sept. 1985-15 July, 2000 |
Chloee 21 June, 1990-1 July, 2000 |
Chloee was Lady Blue's sisfur and brought forth many wonderful Maine Coon cats for
her Meowmie's cattery. She was a furry sweet and loving kitty, and a wonderful
Meowmie to her kittens. She crossed the Rainbow Bridge in her Meowmie's
arms after a short bout with pancreas problems. She will be missed
by all her sisfurs and brofurs, and especially by her Meowmie. |
BabyCat 14 April, 1987-25 July, 2000 |
Studley 20 Sept. 1984-24 July, 2000 |
Our new furriend and Honorary Texan Studley crossed the Bridge and is missed so much
by his sisfur Doodle and their Meowmie. Be sure to click on his angel
picture and see his website. He was a furry special kitty with a lot of
personality and a great graphics artist. He was always ready to pitch in
and help with graphics, and in fact fixed up our pictures on the pictures page.
We will miss mew Studley. Doodle & Shirley have created a wonderfur tribute site. Click here. |
Back to Lone Star Felines |
BabyCat was one of our Honorary Texans, along with all of The Kittens Milliken.
She was so warm and furriendly and made MGD & Spyder feel furry welcome when
we joined her guilds at CLAW. Lady Blue wrote the poem above about her
furriend BabyCat, and that poem really says it all. The Rainbow Bridge has
a new resident today, and we know BabyCat is feeling fine now and meeting up
with old furriends. We will miss her so furry much. |

Dusty 1 June, 1994-7 July, 2000 |
Dusty has been made an Honorary Texan posthumously and we are honored to have his
memorial here. Dusty was also a memfur of the Fat Is Fun Furternity, which MGD & Spyder also belong to. We will always rememfur Dusty with his
"Fud Guy" neckerchief. He went to the Bridge much too soon, but he is with
furriends there, and is watching over his Meowmie, brofur Levi and new sisfur
to Levi, Maggie. See Dusty's Memorial Page here. We will miss mew, Dusty. |
Sebastian Pyewackle 24 May, 2000-12 Sept. 2000 |
"Sebastian"
Run
lil Sebastian, your legs are straight and strong.
Run lil Sebastian,
your legs will carry you along.
The Kittie Angels are calling for you
to come and play.
The Kittie Angels welcome you to the Bridge today.
Run
lil Sebastian, your legs are straight and strong.
Run to the
Kittie Angels, singing your welcome song!
Sweet sad purrs, otis (and
Meowmie Dianne) |
"He Was Born Into
A Troubled Way"
He was born into a troubled way. But he struggled
and fought to live. And live he did.
Everyday was a new discovery for him.
He found life was not fair and life was cruel. And yet he struggled more to
prove that he had what it took to make life grand and good. His Meowmie helped
him along with love and care and tender caresses. Those caresses began to help
him walk and then to run.
He discovered that life
was indeed grand and good. He discovered a whole new world of furriends-of CLAW
furriends. Furriends who were amazed at his stamina, his courage, and his strength.
He joined with them and they let him into their hearts. He went through
Kittengarten and received his precious red cap that made all of his new found
furriends very proud. His Meowmie glowed with pride at her sweet boy and wondered
what she ever did to deserve such a wonderful kitten. Finally, it looked like
he was going to make it into a grown cat’s life. And his frurriends cheered and
purred at his progress.
But sadly the Great Cat had other plans for little
Sebastian.
“I love you, little one. And I want you home with me. I want
you to rest upon my lap.”
This brave little kitten looked up into the
Great Cat’s eyes, bowed his head and said that he was ready. He took one last glance
at his furriends and his Meowmie , gave them all a farewell lick, and then
with four good legs he scurried off to Rainbow Bridge.
He is there now running, playing,
and chasing those birds and butterflies while he awaits his furriends. And
when he grows tired, the Great Cat opens his paws and welcomes little Sebastian
into his lap.
“Sleep, my little one, for you have suffered
enough. Put your head on my paw and rest and be weary no longer. I love you, for
you are now my little Sebastian.”

Kitties |

Our favorite Honorary Texan, Sebastian, has crossed the Rainbow Bridge, and we want
to honor him here. Otis and Lady Blue and their Meowmies have written
some wonderfur tributes, and we created the graphic to rememfur Sebastian.
Sebastian touched our hearts in such a special way, and we all cheered his accomplishments
and purred for him during tough times. We know mew are feeling
good now and can run and play like a kitten should. It is furry hard
to say goodbye, so we say Au Revoir and Adios to our special furriend, and we will
see mew when we go to Rainbow Bridge. The Kittens Milliken have a wonderfur tribute page for Sebastian and mew can see it here. |
