Morgan's Collies

Unconditional Love

From the begining I have always had Collies in my family. In the 1930's my Aunt Ruth had collies, my sisters have Collies, my sister Patty has CH Pride'n Joy Midnight Comet, at the same time I aquired Morgan's Morning Day Lillie, N/E, from Dennis Caldwell, when he was still in Vermont, she became the begining of Morgan's Collies.
Tragically she died March 21, 1999, by a hit and run driver, we all miss her, on the bed, in the kitchen, poking her nose where it didn't belong.
Thank you Dennis and Mary for my Lillie.

Working up to the Future

As a young mother and poor, I had rescue dogs and always had a mix breed collie, Misty was a Shepard/Collie cross we had her for 13 yrs, when she was no longer with us my late husband bought my first pure-bred dog, A small Sheltie, Gay Acres Afternoon Shadow, as a birthday gift, we had her from Aug, 83 - Dec. 96, Shadow was more my grandson's dog than anyone's, she owned him, he was 3 at the time and she was his and then my grandaughter's property, until she died. She is now with my husband at the Rainbow Bridge waiting for us. I lost my husband Earl April 27, 1997, I buried her with him, in his loving hands.

The Heaven I Picture

Since Childhood I've heard about Heaven
With it's mansions and streets paved with Gold
And God on his throne in the center
His radiance and wonders untold

This city in all of it's glory
Will be perfect and beyond compare
So how can you stand there and tell me---
There aren't any animals there?

For how could anything really be perfect
With no song of a bird in the air
No soft little kittens, no bunnies, no dogs--
That Heaven would surely br bare.

Just think of the animal large and small
That have somehow affected our days
The joys and tears that they have caused
In so many ways--

I just can't believe that God took the time
To create all these precious hearts
Just to cast them aside like useless toys
When their Heavenly Lives should just start

No, The Heaven I picture is full and complete
And I know God would never leave out
The ones that we've held so Dear to our Hearts--
For "Love" is what Heavens all about.
