I found entries for an obituary and a burial notice in the St. Louis Post-Dispatch which indicates that Edward Henne died on 17 Apr. 1913 in St. Louis. At this time Edward and Emma were residing at 31000 Osceola.
Dorothy's adopted father George J. Fuhler, born ca 1886, was the son of Theodore and Margaret Fuhler. George had four siblings: Mary, Theodore, Joseph, and Elizabeth. In St. Louis there is record of an Elizabeth Garst who was married to a George Fuhler
The 1910 Fed. Census for Missouri (St. Louis ward 24, supv. dist. 10, enum. dist. 386, sheet 3A, stamped p. 245, dwelling 48, family 53, line 38-39, dated 18 Apr.) shows George J. Fuhler and Elizabeth living at 4220a Chippewa St. He is 24 and she is 23.
George's first wife (Elizabeth) died in 1910 at the age of 23. We can conclude that our George Fuhler was married to Elizabeth before he married Emma Koeser. George and Elizabeth Garst had a daughter, Elizabeth Christina, who was born ca 1910 and died in 1912.
Dorothy's widowed mother married George J. Fuhler between Apr. 1913 and Sep. 1014. Then George adopted Dorothy.
Emma and George had only one child, Ruth (26 Jun. 1915), who is then Dorothy's half-sister.
George registered for the WWI draft on 11 Sep. 1918 in St. Louis when he and his family were living at 4020 Chippewa in St. Louis. He was a brickmason at L. W. Peters in Jackson, IL. His wife, Mrs. Emma Fuhler, is listed as his closest relative. Although not native born, he was naturalized as a minor when his father was naturalized. Her mother, Emma is 41 years old and was married at age 26. She was born in Missouri of parents born in Germany. No occupation is listed. Her father, George J. Fuhler, is 44 years old and was married at age 29. He is a brick mason. He was born in Germany of parents also born in Germany. He immigrated in 1893 and is naturalized. Dorothy is 18 and is single. She was born in Missouri; her father in Germany, her mother in Missouri. Her half-sister, Ruth, is 14 and is single and is in school. Ruth was also born in Missouri; her father in Germany, her mother is Missouri. All can read, write and speak English.
Dorothy married Philip Wm. Corneli (-1G) ca 1932 and they had one child, Philip Pannier Corneli (0G) on 06 Jan. 1934 in St. Louis.

Corneli, employee at Peverly Dairy Co. and residing at 6216 Dexter Dr. in Affton.
Her parents appear in the 1944 and 1946 St. Louis Directories.
Her adopted father, George J. Fuhler died in Oct. 1946 in St. Louis (city). In the 1947 Directory her mother, Emma (-2G), is marked as the widow of George J. Fuhler (-2G).
The 1949 St. Louis County Dir. (Polk) has Philip W. Corneli living at Hagemann Rd. in Lemay 8. Dorothy has a separate lising at the same address.
She was a member of Delta Gamma Sorority.
She died Sun. 9 Apr. 1995 in Zip Code Area 63111 which is in the city of St. Louis, MO. The St. Louis Pub. Lib. Obit. Index lists an obituary in the St. Louis Post-Dispatch on 11 Apr. 1995. The obituary has her maiden surname as Fuhler. The obituary says that Ruth was her sister; no other sibling is mentioned. Services were at Ziegenhein Funeral Home at 7027 Gravois. She was buried in Sunset Memorial Park, St. Louis, MO on Wed. 12 Apr.
Her birth (13 May 1911) and death (09 Apr. 1995) are found in the S. S. Death Index (#489-16-4741). Her last residence was in Zip Code 63111 (St. Louis).
