The (-3G), etc., after the names indicates the number of generations before Erven Thoma. Apparently Sarah had no siblings.

The 1910 Fed. Census for Missouri (supv. dist. 9, enum. dist. 96, sheet 10A, stamped p. 272, dwelling 215, family 220, dated 4 & 5 May) lists the Charles W. Phelps family living in the Troy area in Union Township, Lincoln County, MO. Charles is 31 and was born in Missouri, his parents also. He is a farmer on his own farm. His wife Mary E. is 24 and was born in Missouri, her father in Virginia, her mother in Missouri. She has no occupation. She had one child and they have been married 2 years. Their daughter, Sarah E., is 1 year old and was born in Missouri, her parents in Missouri also. A hired hand also lives with them to help on the farm.

The 1920 Fed. Census for Missouri (supv. dist. 9, enum. dist. 109, sheet 6B, stamped p. 156, dwelling 132, family 136, lines 64-66, dated 16 Jan.) shows the family of Charles W. Phelps living on a farm in Union Township, Lincoln County, MO. He is 41 years old and was born in Missouri of Missouri parents. He is a farmer and owns the farm. His wife is Eliza, 34 years old, born in Missouri, her father in Virginia, her mother in Missouri. She has no occupation. Their daughter Ellen is 10 and is in school. She and her parents were born in Missouri.

She married a Mr. Hechler ca 1928, probably in Lincoln County, MO. She does not appear in the 1930 Census (enum. dist. 57-23, sheet 1B, dwelling 29) with her parents who are still living in Union Township, Lincoln County, MO.

The 1930 Fed. Census for Missouri (supv. dist. 7, enum. dist. 57-1, sheet 1A, stamped p. 133, dwelling 3, family 3, lines 5-6, dated 02 Apr.) shows the family of Henry W. Hechler living in Troy (city), Bedford Township, Lincoln County, MO. Henry is 28 years old and was born in Missouri, his parents also. He is an auto mechanic in a garage. He was married at age 26. His wife, Sarah E. is 20 and was born in Missouri, her parents also. She has no occupation. She was married at age 18. They own their house valued at $3,000. They do not have a radio. Next door is a family with the same surname, perhaps they are 3 siblings of Henry.

I do not know if there were children from her first marriage. There were no children from the marriage with Theodore Winge.

On 5 Jul. 1967 she applied for Social Security #498-56-3684 when she was living in Rural Route 2, Troy, MO and was 58 years old. No employment or occupation information was given on the application. At this time she carried the surname Hechler. The Death Index gives 1966 as the date of issue.

Her first husband, Henry W. Hechler (-2G) died in Feb. 1968 in Lincoln County, MO. His last residence was in Zip Code area 63379 which is in Troy, Lincoln, MO. His S. S. # was 494-07-0422 which was issued before 1951 in MO. He was born on 26 Jan. 1900 in MO.

She married Theodore Winge (-2G) some time after 1971, before 1888, probably in Lincoln County, MO.

Her husband, Theodore Winge died on Christmas Day 1988 in Troy, MO and was buried in Alexandria, Cemetery there.

When she died, on 13 Apr. 1992, she was living in Troy, MO. She may have been buried in the Alexandria Cemetery there. She is listed in the S. S. Death Index under Sarah E. Winge with the S. S. # 498-56-3584. According to this she was born on 18 Apr. 1909 and died on 13 Apr. 1992. No address is given.

There is a T. Winge listed in the 1994 Phone and Address database on Ancestry.Com. The address is 215 John St. in Zip Code area 63379 which is Troy, MO. This is probably the address where they lived or at least where Sarah lived at the time of her death.
