JER 15:14
And I will make [thee] to pass with thine enemies
into a land [which] thou knowest not:
for a fire is kindled in mine anger,
[which] shall burn upon you.
JER 17:19
Thus said the LORD unto me;
Go and stand in the gate of the children of the people,
whereby the kings of Judah come in, and by the which they go out,
and in all the gates of Jerusalem; (GATES)
JER 17:20
And say unto them, Hear ye the word of the LORD,
ye kings of Judah, and all Judah,
and all the inhabitants of Jerusalem,
that enter in by these gates: (GATES)
JER 17:21
Thus saith the LORD;
Take heed to yourselves, and bear no burden on the sabbath day,
nor bring it in by the gates of Jerusalem; (GATES)
JER 17:22
Neither carry forth a burden out of your houses on the sabbath day,

but hallow ye the sabbath day, as I commanded your fathers.
JER 17:23
But they obeyed not, neither inclined their ear,
but made their neck stiff, that they might not hear,

if ye diligently hearken unto me, saith the LORD,
to bring in no burden through the gates of this city (GATES)
on the sabbath day, but hallow the sabbath day,

kings and princes sitting upon the throne of David,

And they shall come from the cities of Judah,
and from the places about Jerusalem, and from the land of Benjamin,

and it shall devour the palaces of Jerusalem,
and it shall not be quenched.
NEH 13:15
In those days saw I in Judah some treading wine presses
on the sabbath,
and bringing in sheaves, and lading asses; as also wine grapes,
and figs, and all manner of burdens,
which they brought into Jerusalem on the sabbath day:
and I testified against them in the day wherein they sold victuals.

which brought fish, and all manner of ware,

Did not your fathers thus,
and did not our God bring all this evil upon us, and upon this city?
yet ye bring more wrath upon Israel by profaning the sabbath.
NEH 13:19
And it came to pass,
that when the gates of Jerusalem (GATES)
began to be dark before the sabbath,
I commanded that the gates should be shut, (GATES)
and charged that they should not be opened till after the sabbath:
and some of my servants set I at the gates, (GATES)
that there should no burden be brought in on the sabbath day.
NEH 13:20
So the merchants and sellers of all kind of ware
lodged without Jerusalem once or twice.
NEH 13:21
Then I testified against them, and said unto them,
Why lodge ye about the wall? (# LUK 21:20)
if ye do so again, I will lay hands on you.
From that time forth came they no more on the sabbath.
NEH 13:22
And I commanded the Levites that they should cleanse themselves,
and that they should come and keep the gates, (GATES)
to sanctify the sabbath day./
Notice that # JER 17:19-27 is a prophecy about the future, and
# NEH 13:15-22 is history about when a prophet in the past was successful at
getting Israel to repent of a sin. God calls that good works.

Let neither man nor beast, herd nor flock, taste any thing:
let them not feed, nor drink water:

But let man and beast be covered with sackcloth,
and cry mightily unto God:
yea, let them turn every one from his evil way,
and from the violence that is in their hands.

Who can tell if God will turn and repent,
and turn away from his fierce anger,
that we perish not?

And God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way;
and God repented of the evil,
that he had said that he would do unto them;

Now is the end come upon thee, and I will send mine anger upon thee,

And mine eye shall not spare thee, neither will I have pity:

An evil, an only evil, behold, is come.

Violence is risen up into a rod of wickedness:
none of them shall remain, nor of their multitude,
nor of any of their's: neither shall there be wailing for them.

The time is come, the day draweth near:
let not the buyer rejoice, nor the seller mourn:
for wrath is upon all the multitude thereof.

For the seller shall not return to that which is sold,

/ for the vision is touching the whole multitude thereof,
which shall not return;
neither shall any strengthen himself in the iniquity of his life.

They have blown the trumpet, even to make all ready;

The sword is without, and the pestilence and the famine within:
he that is in the field shall die with the sword;

But they that escape of them shall escape,

The LORD shall roar from on high,

A noise shall come even to the ends of the earth;

Behold, evil shall go forth from nation to nation,

from the coasts of the earth.

Howl, ye shepherds, and cry; and wallow yourselves in the ashes,

Wars now start on the new moon when it is the darkest, because of
night vision equipment. Within 35 days or 5 weeks from the day that Israel

The only signs that the rapture is starting to happen is:

Doug Batchelor did a sermon on 12/08/01, on TV 12/15/01 7am where he
thinks that Amos chapter 8 is historical about AMO 7:9.
I have thought that (# AMO 8:2 / I will not again pass by them any more.)
was a reference to # ISA 24:20 # MAT 24:35 # JER 31:35-36.
