m. 21 May 1863 to Cpt. William Dexter Hall.
Asa Law was the s\o Thomas and Nancy (Dixon) Law.
Mary (Fell) Law was the d\o Peter and Rizpah (Barnes) Fell.
Peter Fell was the s\o Benjamin and Rebecca (Casner) Fell.
Benjamin Fell was s\o Benjamin & Hannah (Scarborough) Fell.
The latter were Quakers.

Capt. William Dexter Hall b. 27 Sept. 1836; d. 12 Feb. 1888 Lewis Co., WV Bk2:10. He was s\o Jonathan Thompson Hall and his wife Margaret "Peggy" Jackson, d\o Col. Edward and Elizabeth (Brake) Jackson. Col. Edward was Stonewall's grandfather.
Elizabeth Brake was the d\o John and Elizabeth (Weatherholt) Brake.
Col. Edward was s\o John and Elizabeth (Cummins) Jackson.
Jonathan Thompson Hall was the s\o Richard & Mary "Polly" Bailey who was the d\o Rev. John and Frances (Jones) Bailey. Rev. John Bailey was the s\o Carr and Mary (Minter) Bailey. Frances Jones Bailey was the d\o William and Mary Jones.
Cpt. William Dexter Hall and Nancy had nine children. One of these children was Julia Viola Hall, my grandmother.
Julia Viola Hall was b. 10 Aug. 1870 Lewis Co., WV Bk1:152; d. 25 Mar. 1929 Lewis Co., WV Bk4:185; m. 5 Sept. 1889 Thomas Edwin Stalnaker Lewis Co., WV Bk 1:126.

Thomas Edwin Stalnaker was the s\o Sobisca and Christinia (Waggoner) Stalnaker.
Sobisca Stalnaker was the s\o Samuel Stalnaker III and Elizabeth McWhorter.
Samuel Stalnaker III was the s\o Samuel Stalnaker II and Susannah Radcliffe, d\o William and Deborah (Hughes) Radcliffe. Deborah Hughes was the d\o Thomas Hughes who was killed by the Indians.
Samuel Stalnaker II was the s\o Jacob Stalnaker Jr. and Elizabeth Truby, d\o John Truby.
Jacob Stalnaker Jr. was the s\o Capt. Samuel Stalnaker whose wife was killed by the Indians.
McWhorter Lineage
Elizabeth McWhorter, wife of Samuel Stalnaker III was the d\o Walter Fields McWhorter and his wife Margaret Hurst who was the d\o William Hurst & Ms. Sims.
Walter Fields McWhorter was the s\o Henry and Mary (Fields) McWhorter.
Waggoner Lineage
Christina Waggoner, wife of Sobisca Stalnaker was the d\o Elijah Waggoner and his wife Mary Straley.
Elijah Waggoner was the s\o John Waggoner and his second wife Susannah Richards, d\o Paul Richards who was killed by the Indians. John Waggoner's first wife and some children were killed by the Indians and is documented in his Revol. War Pension Record as well as various history books.
Straley Lineage
Mary Straley, wife of Elijah Waggoner was the d\o George Straley and Elizabeth Bonnett.
George Straley was the s\o Christian and Christina (Lantz) Straley.
Bonnett Lineage
Elizabeth Bonnett who m. George Straley was the d\o Samuel and Elizabeth Bonnett.
My Mother
She was Annie "Anna" Grace Stalnaker, d\o Thomas Edwin & Julia Viola (Hall) Stalnaker; b. 29 Dec. 1893 Horner, Lewis Co., WV Bk2:147; d. 22 Oct. 1980 Harrison Co., WV Bk. 80:415; m. 2 April 1914 in Burnsville,Braxton Co., WV. to Jacob Jay Jackson (recorded Lewis Co, WV Bk 13:470). Jacob's great grandfather was John Jackson Jr., brother to Col. Edward Jackson, Stonewall's grandfather. So I am related to Stonewall on both sides of my family.
