The Fellowship of the Ring
The Fellowship is the first part of the whole Lord of the Rings trilogy. In the movie it starts out with Bilbo Baggin's 111th birthday. Gandalf comes over to be there at his birthday party and to set off fireworks. Bilbo gives a speech and he says that he is going to set off to live in rivendell with the elves because he wants to see mountains again, just like he did in his adventure with Gandalf a while back
When he leaves, he gives his house to his Nephew, Frodo. He also gives him the ring. The one Ring to rule them all. You see, a long time ago, magic rings were made. Some for each race. This particular one is the ring that controls all other, and it must be destroyed in the same place it was forged, mount doom, right in the middle of the dark lord's domain. So Frodo, Gandalf, and Frodo's friends, Sam, Merry, and Pippen set out for Rivendell so they can form a fellowship to help Frodo desrtoy the ring. Joining them is two men, Aragorn and Boromir, one elf Legolas, and one dwrf Gimli. Nine Companions all together. Frodo, Gandalf. Sam, Merry, Pippen, Aragorn, Boromir, Legolas and Gimli. They head for Balins tomb, butGandalf, falls off a cliff, trying to protect the others. Soon after that, Boromir dies from arrows. Then, they company seperates. Sam and Frodo head out to Mordor by themselves, Merry and Pippen, get captures by Urak-hai, and Aragorn, Legolas and Gimli try to save Merry and Pippen.
the Two Towers
the Two Towers is the Title of the Second Chapter of the Lord of the Rings. the Two Towers meaning the towers of Orthanc and Barad-duo, the homes of Sauron and Saruman. It starts out withAragorn, Legolas and Gimli heading he same direction Merry and Pippen did. They get caught trespassing on the lands of Rohan, and are given two horses. They make their way to Fangorn forest, where they meet Gandalf! He explains to them that when he was defending evryone in balin's tomb fighting theBalrog, he was able to defeat while falling down. Thus turning into Gandalf the White. They tell him they have to save the hobbits but he says first, they have to cast off a spell sent to the King of Rohan, Theoden. So Gandalf does that. it was a spell from saruman. Theoden tells them he needs their help
He says that he needs them to help him fight in the battle for Helms deep. Merry and Pippen get carried away to an orc camp and the sneek out and stumle into Fangorn Forest. There they meet trebeard, they leader of the Ents. Ents are Walking, talking trees. There's something in the water there that makes them come to life. Treebeard sees that Saruman had his orcs cut down some of the trees-treebeard's friends, to make weapons and armor. Treebeard and the rest of the ents travel to helms deep to help fight the orcs too. Meenwhile Frodo and sam are on their way to Mordor when they meet Gollum, who leads them to Mordor but has a secret plan to kill the hobbits and take the ring for his own again. He leads them to the Wet Marshes then to the black gate. They are getting closer and closer to mount doom
the Return of the King
In the third book, Pippen gets taken to Minis Tirith with Gandalf, for he will be safe there. The enemy thinks he has the ring. Here, Gandalf and Pippen meet Denothor, the Stewrd of Gondor and Bormir and Faramir's dad. Pippen wants to serve Denothor so he does and Faramir is taken for dead. Stupid old Denothor thinks he's dead but pippen says he's still alive. Denothor kicks pippen out and Denothor dies from fire. Aragorn, Legolas and Ginli go to the paths of the dead to get the dead to help them fight saurans forces. Merry wants to fight in that war, so he fights with Eowyn. Eowyn kills the leader of the Nazgul and his winged steed. That battle is won. Theoden dies in battle and Aragorn claims the throne of Gondor and Marries Arwen. Frodo and Sam are getting closer to mount doom. Gollum tricks Frodo into thinking that Sam ate the last bit of lembas. At this point, Frodo tells Sam to leave and that he can take the ring to mordor by himself. Gollum leads Frodo through a pass in Shelob's lair, the home of a giant spider. Shelob stings and wraps up frodo with web when Sam comes and defends him.
Orcs come and take Frodo and Sam comes to rescue him. They are in mordor and their are orcs everywhere. They get orc disguises and make it for Mount doom. Frodo's about to throw the ring into mount doom when stupid gollum catches up with them and bites Frodo's finger off to get the ring. Gollum, the finger, and the ring fall into mount doom. Sam and Frodo make it out of the volcana and they are dieing. Gandalf and the eagles save them. Sam and frodo meat up with everyone. Aragorn is crowned King of Gondor. Sam frodo, merry and pippin go back to the shire. Later, Bilbo frodo and gandalf sail off for the grey havens. The End.
