Welcome to my DNA Environment Page
When I went to do my research on this section of my website...I was so sad by how many plants (plants page will be done in the future) and animals that are now no more.  Here are some of the beautiful animals that are now "ENDANGERED" and are in real trouble of being the last of their kind.  My first picture that I choose to show you was this otter.  He seems to have his arms outstreached saying "WHY?"   In my own opinion, I hope we use DNA to try to save some of these wonderful creatures.  Helen Keller once said, "Somethings can't be seen or touched, they only can be felt by your heart."  I say, "How lonely the earth would be without the animals to love us."

This article talks about Marti, a cloned Charolais calf standing here with her mother.  She is one of the three cloned calves at California State University, Chico.  Unfortunately, the other calfs died.  The researches believe it was because of intestinal infection and that such immune problems are common in cloned calves.  Professor Cynthia Daley is heading this research project.
