Save Our Wolves
He lay tired and hungry near an old oak tree
Alone in the woods unaware of what was to be
He look around for the others but did not see
Still, unaware of what was to be
Then all of a sudden he saw him there
This man with a gun who did not care
A shot rang out and he jumped up to run
And the man just laughed 'cuz he thought it was fun
To see the wolf run who was wounded and hurt
To watch him stumble and fall and crouch in the dirt
The man then left, he left him for dead
But the wolf waited in silence
Then finally threw back his head
He howled to his pack who ran to his side
By then it was too late, for their brother had died
The pack howled low as they bowed their heads
To honor their brother who lay there dead
Why these useless killings? Oh please let it end
And help us protect our wolves and be their friend
