12/06/04- BREAKING NEWS! The department just put an urgent order into Seagrave for a new tower ladder. The last tower, Truck 65, failed its mandatory ladder test and therefore needs to be replaced immediatley. The new truck will be a black over red 2005 Seagrave rearmount tower ladder. The old truck will be salvaged, and a reserve truck will be purchased. The reserve truck will probably be a mid 80's Mack or a mid 90's Pierce or Seagrave. In other news, Engine 61's white 1993 Seagrave will be replaced with a 2005 Seagrave with the same specs as the old rig. The new rig will be black over red, and the old rig will be a reserve. A new Pierce Quantum engine is being looked at to POSSIBLY replace the American LaFrance Engine 63. No major fires have occured recently, but the weather is getting colder and snow is coming so the department is expecting some good working fires soon.
