This is the Mystery Man. The picture was taken in Troy, Ohio at Henrick's Studio. Telling by the dress, hair and type of picture (the card) the picture was taken mid 1890's. By no means the 1950's. Nor 1920's. Therefore, too old to be the John Henry Mills. However, the we found a newspaper add from 1903 and the studio isn't listed in previous directories or the 1905 directory (and later), putting the date of the photo around 1903. Bessie's mother Eva Pearl Enyeart, was the same age (see below). Think there was a connection? They look too much alike to say it's just coincidence. Look at the nose, the chin, the cheeks, and eyes. It's obvious. This man is our brickwall, help!
Close up of Mystery Man
 (a comparison to J.H. Mills)
John Henry Mills born abt. 1927. Therefore, this picture was taken  (most likely) during the 1950's. Son of Bessie Enyeart Mills and Felix Mills of Troy, Ohio.
We took this writing on the back of our Mystery Man's photo to say, "Unknown to JHR." JHR was Mary E. Enyeart Racer's (b. 1855 to John L. Enyeart) husband, John Henry Racer. They resided in Troy, Ohio on Racer Street. They reared Bessie Enyeart Mills, hence her son's name: John Henry.
Bessie Enyeart (Labig)...later known as Bessie Enyeart Mills. Born 1893 to Eva Pearl Enyeart, father unknown. Perhaps the man above? Most likely...because Bessie's son turned out to be identical to the mystery man...
Eva Pearl Enyeart b. 1877 to John M. Enyeart and Maggie Conner. Troy, Ohio. She died in 1898 and is buried in Riverside Cemetary in Troy, Ohio. Therefore, this picture is dating back to the mid 1890's.
