Kate Moureaux~
I'm Kate Moureaux from Fillmore, California. I began competing in dog agility in 1992, at the age of six. My first dog was my grandmother's Springer Spaniel, "Alex". Alex began competing at seven years young, and obviously was a year my senior. Alex and I competed in both American Kennel Club and United States Dog Agility Association trials until he was ten years old and had to retire, due to old age. I currently have an eight year old Shetland Sheepdog, Heisey, a three year old Border Collie, Quick, and Quick's pup (DOB 1/16/03), Driven.
Heisey and I have blazed the path for many Junior Handlers in the agility world. Heisey and I are the first ever Junior Handler MACh and MACh2 agility team, placed 5th in the 1999 AKC National Championships, and have attended the USA/AKC World Team Invitational Selections in 2000, 2001, and 2002. Quick is also well on her way to being a star. She is currently the 2001 and 2002 22" Team Gamblers Champion from the USDAA World Championships. Quick also attended the 2003 USA/AKC World Team Invitational Selections in May 2003. Heisey and Quick have both attended events hosted by ESPN, such as the Great Outdoor Games and Sporting Dog Challenge in 2002 and Quick attended the Great Outdoor Games in 2003.
