1999 RACE RESULTS-SEASON SCHEDULE
APRIL 17
The opening round for ccs/lrrs season we decided to take this time on our new to the team race bike and use this weekend as a practice to get the bike dialed in.
The practices of the day turned out to be very helpful as we continued to get the bike up to speed before our race that day.
AM Heavy Weight supersport-
Started row 5D
Got a real bad start, fell back to 26 pos, I put my head down and caught up to 2 position by lap six, entering turn 1a at nhis I lowsided on lap six, upset but not disappointed at the good run we had that day we went back and made further improvements on the bike. for the next race weekend.
MAY 1-2
Sat practices went well continued to make improvements on the bike, getting up to speed with the much more modified bikes in the group.
Hvy Wht supersport-
Started row 3-D got a great hole shot to put me in first place to lead the race for the first three laps, going down the front straight I was out horsepowered and passed,
Took home a 2 place finish.
MAY 2- UN superbike endurance-
Started 2D got a good start by turn one I was leading the race coniunued to lead until lap 3 when race was red flagged, Took the lead on the restart made it to turn three the race was red flagged again. second resart I took the lead and we got to turn two and the race was red flagged again, on the third restart My clutch was burnt and I fell back to sixth place I got fith place on the second lap of the restart and the race was redflagged and called for the weekend, Which later turned out to be a bad decision by the organiztion where they agreed to rerun the race at a later date.
Hvy wht superbike-
Started row 2A i got an alright start considering I had a smoked clutch, I was in third position for half the race and began to fall back as the bike would only run on three cylinders through certain parts of the track, I fell back to seventh and managed to get sixth place finish, ( the problem with bike, after much deliberation and tearing the bike down, A loose pickup coil was found.)
After three pretty good rounds, I was offered to move to the Junior/expert ranks, after talking with the team and after the way the amature endurance race went We happily took them up on their offer, and will race the next round on the new and improved NHIS as a Junior.
JUNE 11-12-13
Consideering the fact that we were prretty much at a track we never run before in a classwe never raced before we decided to take fridays open practice and get familiar with the new track and size up my new competition- friday practice went well dropped almost six seconds off my old track time running in the junior class.
Unlimited superbike endurance
First race on the new track as Junior I started in row 8C Got A great start got to fourth place and managed to hold it to finsh fourth in my debute as a junior.
HvyWht Superbike:
Started in row 1D got a great start led the first lap of the race and fell back to fourth, in the process of getting back to the front along with some others behind me,Lap five going into turn eleven and twelve four wide I was pushed off the course by a fellow rider and into the grass,
I saved it and came back on the course in thirteenth place, and managed to get a ninth place finish.
UN GRAN PRIX- michelin dash for cash:
Started 2D got a good start running third, I was right on second place rider going down the straight into turn one I was set up to pass and the second place rider over shot turn one and broke my consentration and followed him around the nascar oval, I lost three positions, I put my head down and caught up to third place the laps are winding down and after A full day of racing my tire were going away in a hurry on lap seven I was going through turn two and lost rear wheel traction and almost highsided, the bike threw me up over the wind screen and on the tank, I managed to save it and finished the race in seventh position.

After a week of staying up to get the bike prepped for the weekend we got, got there friday afternoon, Saturday first practice took it easy got the motor broken in through out the practices, while expiermenting with different jetting combinations, we decided to change carbs after a problem arouse, we found our selves sending someone back to the shop to get parts.
Its now our race The JR GTO and the bike is flying back together, we werent gonna make the start of the Raace but we would get out there to get time on the fresh motor, even if the jetting was off.
Were about ten laps down but the bike is flying although a little rich, putting down great lap times.
After about six laps into our race a little incedent occured with the bike 2 secs in front of me, He left his motor all over the track going down the hill and through the bowl, ther were no debris flags out and as soon as my front whell hit the asphalt I was in it, NO chance to hit the brakes I found the bike getting Away from me and started heading for the wall going around the bowl, as soon as I hit the gravel trap I locked up the rear wheel and let it slide, I managed to stay on the bike and somewhat control the bike came back on its wheels and I kept it running I put it in first and kept going until they threw the red flag where I finished second, A spectaculur get off with A great ending I hope someone got pics.
Sunday practice the bike developed A coolant leak from the previous race and spent first practice fixing that and a bent shift rod which we or no one else had so we had to make one, we would be going into the racing part of the day with no practice time,
First race got a bad start and had to play catch up, which the new slightly modified made much easier, I finished fith.
Made some suspension changes, and really anticipating the un Gran prix dash for cash.
I got another bad start and fell back somewhere around seventh, but I was ready I put my head down and went to work, got into A great three lap battlefor second place and took him coming out of turn twelve, with three laps to go first place was about 4 seconds ahead, I kept going at the drop of the checkered I was three bike lengths behind, I put the best lap of the race down and felt real good, great ending to the weekend, cant wait for the grand champs next weekend, later
