Summary: What happened to Alec when he was in Manticore before escaping with Max and Joshua.

Alecs sitting on the Space Needle looking down at the people, like the way Max usually does when she's there alone thinking about her problems and the people she lost.

Alec: I remember being in Manticore before Max came and rescued me from there and the love I left behind. It all happened so fast. I didn't even get to say goodbye to her or tell her how much I loved her. I remember it all like it was yesterday.

Manticore 2019

Alec is being guarded down past a bunch of cells by a few of Renfro's men, they stop at a cell where inside there's a young girl about Alec's age sitting on the top bunk of the cell leaning against the wall reading a book. The girl stops reading the book after the cell door slams shut then she notices Alec standing there looking at her.

Girl: Are you my cellmate or my breeding partner?

Alec: Kinda both.

The girl jumps down from the top bunk and walks up to Alec and smiles then she extends her hand to him. Alec looks at her and smiles back as he takes her hand and shakes it.

Girl: I'm, Lucy.

Alec: I'm, X5-494.

Lucy: Nice to meet you, X5-494.

Alec: Just call me, 494.

Lucy: Ok. So, when did you get here?

Alec: Quit a while ago.

Lucy: Did you ever get a breeding partner before?

Alec: No.

Lucy: Do you know what they do?

Alec: They copulate every night until the female gets pregnant.

Lucy: What do you think about it?

Alec: I'm not sure. I think I'm in for the fun of it. So, how about you? How different do you react to your whole Heat thing?

Lucy: Like the other X5 females.

Alec: What's your destination?

Lucy: X5-614.

Alec: How long have you been here?

Alec and Lucy got friendlier faster as time went on. Sometimes they thought about doing it, and then one of them would say they're not ready. Usually Lucy was the one who said it, most of the time Alec wanted it.

Alec walked into the new cell him and Lucy were assigned to where there was a door with no bars so they actually got their own privacy without people starring at them. After the door was shut, Lucy started changing her cloths not noticing Alec was there. She was half dress when Alec went up behind her and grabbed her into his arms and swung her around, placed her onto the bed with him on top then he kissed her then she giggled.

Lucy: Hey! I told you we're not going any further until I'm ready.

Alec: I know, I know.

Alec said ignoring what Lucy was saying as he was kissing her neck. Lucy stopped giggling when Alec started to go down past her belly to unbuckle her pants, she pushed him off, and he landed on his ass.

Alec: Hey! What was that for?

Lucy: I told you not to go too far.

Alec: Your no fun.

Lucy: Well, landing on your ass wasn't that fun either, huh?

Alec: No, it wasn't.

Back at the Space Needle, Alec sat there starring into space then he smiled and looked back down at the people walking the streets.

Alec: I remember the night she got scared from a bad storm we had, she crawled into my bed with me, and she even let me touch her.

It was thunder and lighting outside and Lucy felt like she was all alone being at the top bunk. Lucy started drifting off back to sleep when she heard another big boom. Lucy fell off the top bunk, landed on the floor then she stood up, and shook Alec to wake him up.

Lucy: Wakeup.

Alec opened one eye then the other when he noticed Lucy standing there in front of him then he sat up straight and looked at her.

Alec: What's wrong?

Lucy: I can't sleep. I'm afraid of being alone on the top. Can I sleep with you?

Alec: Sure.

Lucy smiled at Alec and hoped in bed with him then they laid down. Alec pulled the covers onto Lucy and raped his arms around her to make her feel more secure then she went to sleep. Awhile-later Lucy woke up when she felt something touch her leg. Lucy turned to look at Alec who was rubbing her leg then he touched her butt. She wanted to wake Alec up and to tell him to stop it but she was too tired so she left him alone and went back to sleep.

Manticore 2020

Lucy and Alec were sitting on the floor of the cell together reading a book then Alec puts his down and looks at Lucy as she continued to read hers.

Alec: Lucy, I'm bored.

Lucy: (Puts down her book) If you read your book, you wouldn't be bored.

Alec: Reading is boring. Can't we talk instead?

Lucy: Ok.

Lucy closes her book and puts it down on the floor next to Alec's then she sits there and stairs at him then he moves next to her and grabs her hand.

Alec: Lucy, your beautiful.

Lucy: (Looks into Alec's eyes) Really?

Alec: Yeah.

Lucy: So are you. I mean you're handsome. You know what I mean.

Alec: That's ok. I know what you're getting at.

Lucy: I hope we never have to be split up.

Alec: Me either. (Looks at Lucy and smiles) I love you.

Lucy: You do?

Alec: Yeah, I do.

Lucy: Oh.

Back at the Space Needle, Alec pulls out a bottle of beer, looks at it then he opens it, and takes a sip and puts in down on the slopping part of the Space Needle.

Alec: When I told her I loved her she just looked at me, like she was scared to feel the same way. I never heard her say the words back to me, until the day we were separated.

It was a windy day and Lucy and Alec were standing outside inline with other X5s like them then Renfro started walking down the line. When Renfro got to them, they stood there and said nothing until she asked the question.

Renfro: Did you complicate?

Lucy: Yes.

Alec: Three times.

Renfro: Three times? (Smiles) You guys must have been busy?

Alec: (Voiceover) As Renfro walked away, I could tell Lucy wanted to beat her face in. I didn't blame her. I felt the same way.

Later in the cell, Alec and Lucy were kissing then they stopped when the cell door opened. In walked a few guards with Renfro following behind.

Alec: What's going on?

Renfro: You've been assigned a new partner. Come with me.

Alec: You can't do this.

Renfro: Sure I can. I made up the rules.

Lucy: Please, don't do this. Not to us.

Renfro: Sorry, rules are rules.

Alec: No.

Renfro: To bad.

Renfro snapped her fingers, the guards grabbed a hold of Alec and begun to pull him away then Lucy grabbed onto him. One of the guards pulled Lucy off Alec and pushed her to the wall. Lucy got up in time to see the door slam shut behind taking Alec away.

Lucy: (Yells through cell) I love you!

Back at the Space Needle, Alec stands up and looks down one last time and leaves. Alec rides down the street on his bike as his voiceover starts.

Alec: I remember the look on her face when they were taking me away. She wouldn't let me go. She was afraid to lose me. I knew how she felt. I didn't want to lose her either. Max was the one that saved me from that place. She saved us all. She let everyone out for their freedom. The thing is I'm not sure if Lucy made it out ok. She's all I ever think about and her voice is always echoing in the back of my mind. With the last words, she said to me. I love you.
