Litha Ritual '98
These are some poems that were written at the FullMoon ritual on 28th July 1999.
It was kinda like a get to know you session. Pairing up with someone that you shared and interest with.

By Carmel and Lee:

The Fire throws shadows cross the lawn,
Stirs the memories of days long gone.
As faces from the past congregate 'round,
Lost in flames of anger and not refound.

The moon rises full, casting false dawn,
Dance in the light, before it is gone.
And as your past spins around you, remember the gifts,
When you live a life of love, each encounter uplifts.

By Steven and Phoenix

The night sky does twinkle like diamonds of fire,
While the moon hangs as a sphere of ice.
The tree limbs hang low like children's hearts without candy.
While the fire flames dance into the night.
Candle wax runs like tears flow down faces,
While cricket songs fill the air
And Lee growls and gripes like a bear,
While Lissa cavorts through the group,
Jennifer and friends all start a new beginning
As we all join in the circle,
The circle of lights.

By David and Jessica:

Circle circle circle I find- 10 years into you I climb,
Spiral within and spiral without,
And so we walk the labyrinth route.
To the center yet we journey,
On our paths this eternity.
Time spent within the chamber of our mind,
Seeking and learning a soul to find,
And yet again and so we walk,
Lighter and lighter,
Into the middle we chant
As we twist and turn the maze-like path,
We reach a crescendo of love and wrath.
Like phoenix rises from the flames,
We rise together in dance to claim
A life has died and we stand reborn,
From a womb of our making are we torn.

By Jennifer and Sophia:

The moon is white, but its circle is purple,
Purple, yellow, and orange, is the circle.
We're turning and dancing swiftly in the dark,
Dancing in the energy of the white moon.
I am the fool, and she is a god,
And I can hear the music in the cricket song.
We are dancing around the candle light,
Listening to that cricket song.
The windows glow in the houses nearby,
And chatter and laughter fill the air.
The smoke and the flow of the fire,
Casts shadows across the green grass.
Time runs past us, and the galaxy freezes in place-
Far away friends, please hear our song.
And so it is...
So mote it be.

By Lissa and Robin:

Some things are mysteries, my brain is made of Teflon.
I could not understand some things in my brain,
because my brain is made by God.
Little bugs crawl about, stuck in little shoeboxes.
I asked for divine intervention,
But I was bit by a mosquito.
Little girl about stuck in falling into love,
I told her, 'do not trust love,'
But I was bot by her boyfriend.
Hello love, I know, and I need bugspray.
I kept telling he, do not trust love,
But still she is in love.
I know, and she needs time.
