July 26:
Just back from vacation -- a trip to Niagara and other parts of Ontario, Canada. We survived it in one piece, but -- we are missing a few pieces! Eddap lost some of the things he brought with him along the way (I warned him he packed too much, remember?) and so we played some tunes this week about losing things (favorite toys, teeth, pants!).
Eddap also wanted to spin some tunes about bossy parents -- or, in his case, travel companions, so we played a number of "Don't" songs.
The PaddyTales storytime featured "Theodore Turtle" who always loses stuff, then feels very clever when he finds it again.
We also welcomed a sponsor to the All-Ages Show, hedgehogbooks.com. It's a great site, check it out.

We were on vacation, but I hope you tuned in anyway because Thomas, who normally does a program called the "Worried Waltz" filled in and he always has loads and loads of fun music to play.

July 12:
It was our last show before taking a week off for vacation, so Edapp and I played some tunes about vacationing -- including more than one about how SOME travelers (are you reading this, Eddap?) get impatient on the road and keep asking, "Are we there yet? Are we there yet?") The PaddyTales story this week was "The Day Drofus the Dragon Lost His Head," by Bill Peet, so we spun some Dragon songs and tunes about Drofus' unusual eating habits (He was a vegetarian).
Here's a list of songs we played:

July 5:
It was the day after Independence Day so we Yankee-doodled around with some patriotic songs, and just some songs about red things, white things and green things (just kidding -- we mean Blue things, of course).
The PaddyTales story was "Lentil" in tribute to its author and illustrator, Robert McCluskey, who died earlier in the week. The story takes place in a typical American town (circa mid-20th century) and features a parade, a military bigshot and a boy who saves his community by playing the harmonica. That put us in the mood for some train songs and harmonica songs.
