"Perchance to dream....There's the rub!"
Thus brooded Hamlet some 400 years ago

Our hero, Dick, has a similiar foreboding but for a different reason. Single for fifteen years and distraught at the ending of another promising romantic involvement, it's the monastery for him.  No more dreams of finding "Ms Right."  Besides, he's turning 45 in a couple of months, not much more to live for.
Who can save our brooding hero?  The cavalry to the rescue!!!
A host of characters, some real, some not so real, led by Dick's alter ego and several boyhood friends are determined to keep their charge from going down in flames.  They invade Dick's psyche with visions of lovers past and experiences not fully dealt with or understood.  The humorous antics that follow cause Dick to face his loneliness and rejoin the world of the living.
In it's workshop version the play was called "An extraordinary venture...exciting and fresh." by the Princeton Packet and Mr. Marino was cited as writing with the humor of a young Neal Simon and the passion of Eugene O'Neill.
