Alyssa Pact
Alyssa Tatiana Pact
It would have been a normal autumn day had Arianna not gone into labor.  But alas, she did.  And within a few hours, a fiery redhead was born into the Pact family of Winchester, England.  As she looked down to her new baby girl, Arianna decided to name her Alyssa, Aly for short.

Alyssa's family owned a cottage on the outskirts of town where she lived with her older brother Ian, her younger sister Elizabeth, and of course with her parents. Her father, Johnathen, owned a small shop in the town of Winchester where everything could be found from soaps to clothing to candles. Her mother took a part of that shop for her own, where she would sell her dresses for a profit.

When Alyssa turned a mere five, her brother Ian was sent off to the castle to begin his training as a Squire.  When he could steal a few moments away, he would come home and show Alyssa everything he had learned.  Aly would then go out into the woods and mimic everything her brother had shown her with the aid of a few twigs.  It wasn't until she was ten that he presented with her with her very own dagger.  She did not let her parents know, for they would have taken it away from her.

It was expected of young women then to have a family and tend to the home.  And thus Alyssa's mother taught her the ways of the home.  She taught her how to sew and make clothing as well as how to cook and make bread.  She wanted badly for her daughter to take over her position as a seamstress when she was no longer able to.  Yet Aly had different ideas.

When Alyssa turned fifteen autumns, she decided to leave home. She went out into the world with only her mother's advice, her dress-making skills, her brother's dagger, and a pack on her back. She wandered for a long time, walking the dusty roads, coming upon many small towns and farms, until she made her way to London.

There she was thrown into "modern" society as a streetrat.  She tried selling her dresses, but no one would take them ~ they weren't to London's standards. Having no where else to turn, she went to a pub and took up a job as a bar wench. It was quite the riot for the longest; she had no idea how to make drinks, and she now had to. She learned quickly, though, from the owner, and soon she was making good money, good tips, and friends. She made enough to rent a flat above the pub, but she had very little money for food or much else. Her clothes turned into dresses that barely covered anything, which was sometimes a good thing, for that brought better tips.

As she got more acquainted with where she was, Alyssa watched the local drunks throwing knives and playing games. After hours, she'd take the knives out and practice. She kept practicing until she could throw almost every knife into that bullseye. After she quickly learned the game, she could simply make a bet, throw a knife, and earn some money. Finally, she earned enough to buy decent clothing and some food. She kept this up until she had all she needed: a job, shelter, food, and clothing. She was even making extra and managing to save it. She kept raising the stakes in those pubs and even started taking challenges from outsiders of the pub, winning them all..

But one day as Alyssa was wiping down the barcounters, she overheard a drunk speaking about a place across the sea which housed many beautiful kingdoms and all kinds of people. Her interest grew in this place, and she started asking about it. She went home that night and checked her savings, finding that she had enough money to buy a ticket on a boat and to have a little extra left over. The next day she didn't go to work.  Instead, she was at the docks, climbing aboard the Lady Elizabeth.  After two years of service, they could find new help.

After a few weeks journey across the ocean and many cases of seasickness, Alyssa stepped foot onto the lands of Rhy'Din. She instantly went to a tavern, getting a job there so she could get her life going. She stayed at that tavern for a few years, still making money with knife-throwing. Though her mouth did sometimes get her into trouble, yet she somehow always got out of it.

On one of her few days off, Alyssa was out walking the lands of Rhy'Din when she ran into a group of people from a kingdom called Winterhawk. Since she wore her finest clothing that day, when they asked her to stop by and visit, she decided to do just that.  She was amazed by the generosity and hospitality they gave her, something she had not experienced in along time.  After a few more visits, she asked to join the people there and was welcomed among them.

After months of climbing the ranks, Alyssa turned her life around. She once proudly served as First Lady of the Realm of Winterhawk.  Her dresses were a sensation with the ladies of the court and she had started to "dagger play" with the knights there until she became quite accomplished at it. She finally has found happiness, or so she thought. After months and months of serving the King and Queen of the Realm, she left to make a name for herself.

And a name was made.  After meeting and dealing with a few people, she joined a group called Odins Fist.  They were a group of Vyks who took pride in their bar fights and mead.  And so she too learned to withstand the taste of the mead.  She also learned how to spar hand to hand.  Not to mention how to use a battle axe.  Times were good there.  Sparring, drinking, fighting, and relaxing at the Springs.   Though as fate would have it, the group disbanded and she set off in search of a new home.

Alyssa managed to join another kingdom that went by the name of Talernon.  Yet before she fully pledged herself, she went into training.  She learned how to ride a horse and use a sword and shield.  Then finally, she took the position as Chancellor of Defense for a couple of years and sat on the High Council.  She made many good friends there and had many good times at the Stormrunner Tavern and various other places upon the Isle.

But yet again, Aly left the comforts of her "home" in search of something new.  She met up with a rag tag group of mercenaries, lead by Beckett, who called themselves Exodus III.  She soon aligned herself with them and their ways.  Yet, for six months during that period, she had disappeared.  Little is known to anyone about what happened, yet when she came back, she seemed more somber.  Once the jovial spitfire, now the cunning woman who has been labeled as "a woman of guile and deadly charm."
