Roxanne Gloria began her Permanent Cosmetics practice in 1989 and founded The American Micropigmentation Academy (AMA) in 1992. From the beginning her vision was to provide Permanent Makeup professionals with quality training -- a solid foundation in theoretical concepts and practical hands-on application.
Why? Because inadequate training means Permanent Mistakes not Permanent Cosmetics. Inadequate training means traumatized clients and sleepless nights for you, the Technician. Inadequate training means you will either quit in despair and confusion after a few bad experiences with clients; or if you are determined to succeed, you will have no other option but to pay tuition all over again - this time to a credible trainer who can equip you with tried-and-true techniques and methods.
Roxanne Gloria is a Board Certified Practitioner and is a National Board Examiner for
the AAM. In addition, she was the National Chairperson of Education for the AAM from 1999 to 2003. In 2002, Roxanne "wrote the book" for the AAM's Approved Instructor Program and crafted the AAM's Board Certification Exam for Instructors. Roxanne holds APPROVED INSTRUCTOR status with both the AAM and the SPCP. She is often a keynote speaker at National Conventions held by the AAM, SPCP, and MCN International's Conventions in Latin America.

Brenda Gloria holds a BBA in Marketing Management from St. Mary's University and held an Adjunct Faculty position at the college level prior to joining the AMA. Brenda was personally mentored and trained by her sister, Roxanne Gloria.
Brenda is a Certified Instructor in the SofTap(R) Manual Method of Permanent Makeup and offers this specialized training at the AMA for beginners, as well as veterans of the machine method who want to learn the SofTap(R) Manual Method, a no-machine method for applying permanent makeup. She also serves as Assistant Instructor in Roxanne's Rotary Method Training program for beginners and teaches a 1 day course in Eyelash Perming.
Brenda is an Authorized OSHA Outreach Trainer and offers one-day Bloodborne Pathogens Training for Micropigmentation professionals. It's important to choose wisely when selecting an Instructor. At the AMA, Our philosophy is, you can only take someone as far as you have gone yourself. As trainers, we are constantly challenging ourselves to develop better techniques and methods, improve our training programs, and to stay abreast on the latest Industry trends so that we can offer you the best training experience possible.
