This page is dedicated to my daughter Noelle Laron. I will attempt to chronicle her journey through natural hair. At the age of 15, Noelle has achieved the honor of being the first woman in our family to NEVER have had chemicals on her hair. This may not seem like a major accomplishment to some, but to women of color this is extraordinary. Congratulations Noelle, as always you've impressed and "wowed" me with your maturity. I love the way you think. Love you, Mom.

"My journey to Sisterlocks. I decided to get Sisterlocks because I knew it would simplify my life even more than the natural styles I'd always worn. I used to think I would wait unitl I was really old, like 30 or so. In the summer of 2000, when I was 15, I knew I was ready and asked my mom to hook me up. I'm so glad I did."
I hope you enjoy my scrap book.

In May 2002 Noelle took her Sisterlocks to the prom! Brian, sported twists and they were FIONE! Hey....does that young man have his arm around my daughter's waist? Well, excuse me, yes he does! hmmm.....

Noelle's locks are 1 year 9 months. This style is accomplished by curling with moderate heat
