Here is my beautiful dog, Drexel.
Drexel is about 16 years old in this picture. He recently died on January 17, 2004 at the age of eighteen and a half. I love you, buddy, and I will miss you forever.

Couldn't you just kiss that gorgeous face right off? My handsome buddy was very old and tired. He had had a good life and was well-loved. Finally the time came when I had to make the final, loving decision for my friend. He was weak and sick during his last few days and euthanasia was the most merciful option, and the last loving gift I could give him. Rest in peace, my faithful friend and brave companion. You set an example I will never forget with your courage and your sweet, accepting nature. You are missed.

Penguin died at the age of eighteen years on April 6, 2003. My darling girl was diagnosed with Chronic Renal Failure when she was sixteen. She managed wonderfully with a special diet and daily subcutaneous fluids - and lots and lots of love - until the last few days of her life, when this devastating illness finally claimed her bright spirit. She was the bravest, most beautiful, most loving creature I have ever known. My life will never be the same without her, and I honor her memory and mourn her loss daily.

Here is Green Guy and Penguin! Green Guy fell in love with Penguin - as everyone else did too! It is a tribute to how wonderful she was that even an Iguana fell in love with her!
