The simultaneous release on NITE * SKY records of BOTH Country and Gospel CD's is August 10, 2003. The pre-release has received RAVE REVIEWS from worldwide DJ's and promoters. They are calling "The Harvest" - country at it's BEST. The Gospel CD "A New Horizon" is "awesome". "These are 20 GREAT new cuts, a MUST HAVE for your collection."

A NEW HORIZON
These songs reflect my labor to be a good servant to the Lord, and I hope and pray they reach inside the hearts of the listeners, and inspire them to do God’s work. The Lord has truly blessed me with a talent, and I want to use in any way I can to give all glory to Him. Truly, the Lord is my Shepherd.

“What I Have Found” is Peace in my Salvation, and I was inspired to write the first cut on a long road-trip to Branson. I found an awesome musician, David Barnes, in South Carolina. We met in Toledo several years ago and lost contact. As awesome as the Lord is, He put us back in touch for this song. What a GIFT, thanks David.

“As Great As He Wants Me To Be”, well the title says it ALL. Inspired and beautifully co-written by my dear friend, and promoter Rhonnie Scheuerman, this song will inspire YOU to be a GREAT SERVANT to the LORD. I feel great expression and love in singing this ballad because I truly want to be “As Great As He Wants Me To Be”.

“I Know Who Holds Tomorrow” and “Softly And Tenderly” are two traditional Hymns that I love. I made a promise to the Lord if I could record this CD, I would make sure I included two hymns, and He gave me these.

“We’re Just Chips Off The Old Rock” and “I’ll Be Gone” are traditional Bluegrass, a sound that’s always been close to me. As a single, “I’ll Be Gone” can be found on the next Ready Records compilation, also HMG Bluegrass.

“Streets Of Gold” and “He’s Everything” are ballads, which testify to my faith. These songs touch my very soul and purpose in life. A very special note on “He’s Everything”: my mother Linda, who sacrificed so much as I grew up, honored me with her talent to do what she loves to do, and that is PLAY THE PIANO. Thanks Mom.

Again, my mom returns to play piano on “Grandma’s Piano Bench” and “Sow That Seed For Jesus”. “Grandma’s Piano Bench” reminds me of my Grandmas, Nella and Pearl, and what a tremendous inspiration in my life they have been. I remember singing “The Old Rugged Cross” with my Grandma Nella in the kitchen while doing dishes in the dark in a storm. What was louder? The thunder or Grandpa’s snoring? I remember falling asleep in my Grandpa’s chair while Grandma Pearl and my sister Jenny sat at the piano and played “What A Friend We Have In Jesus”. Two of my fondest childhood memories.

“Sow That Seed For Jesus” is inspired from Matthew 13:4-8. This song represents what I feel my mission in life is, to sow good seeds for the Lord, and do His work.

This Gospel CD was a true labor of LOVE, dedicated to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, to those I love, and in the memories of Grandma Pearl and Jenny.

Oh What A Release It Is . . ."The Harvest"

THE HARVEST
I’ve always liked country music, and many country music styles. The Harvest represents this, and there’s something on here for everyone.

“Money Tree” is a fun little number, poking fun at my thin wallet, with it’s upbeat down-home country humor.

“Tear Stained Paper” and “In My Memory” are traditional ballads that reflect a loss of someone very close. The style of these songs reflects my love of traditional instruments of country music.

“She’s Really Gone”, “Baby’s Gotta Boogie”, and “Out Of My Mind” represent the modern country sound. These songs were fun to write, and they are a crowd-pleaser to perform. “Baby’s Gotta Boogie” has a beat to line dance to, and folks everywhere are kicking up their heels.

“Robbing Peter To Pay Pauline”, was also co-written by multi-award-winning Rhonnie Scheuerman, my dear friend and promoter. This song was recommended for me by Bob Scheuerman, and boy was he right! It’s a fun, upbeat, and humorous song. It was a BLAST recording this song in Nashville with such FINE MUSICIANS, and Oh, what a time we all had.

“Fixin’ To Go Home” was written on the road driving from Tennessee. This song was then LOST and I could NOT find it anywhere. It was scheduled to be included in this project. I prayed that I would find it, and one hour before going into the studio the Lord gave it BACK to me. Oh, He is so awesome.

“Lonely Soldier” was written by my Father-in-Law Donald Harlan during the Vietnam War era, and he has graciously allowed me the liberties to re-make it. This song really does represent modern-day world struggles.

“In A Mother’s Eyes” This song is VERY dear to me. A hometown soldier’s mother donated a flag to our community when we didn’t have a flag to fly, and it was the LAST thing she received from her son, who died defending our freedoms. A BIG THANK YOU to Alvina Krotzer in the memory of her son PFC Lynn R. Krotzer.

THANKS to YOU . . .

Thank you DJ's around the world for blessing others with my music. Everyone: thanks for the emails and all of your love and support.
God bless,
Andrew
