Welcome to Annie's Bead Adventures
A recent weekend found me traveling to the beautiful northern California coast. There are two things I always do when visiting that part of California; visit Heart Bead on the Plaza in Arcata, and go beachcombing in Trinidad.
Heart Bead is a wonderful bead store. The selection of beads and findings is excellent, and the staff is friendly and helpful. There are tools and work space available for making jewelry to wear out the door. Please take time to visit their web site. There is also an ice cream store just two doors up the street, a fabric store nearby, and several wonderful used bookstores within easy walking distance.
This is me, on the beach at Trinidad. It is an excellent place to find sand smoothed stones, driftwood and shells. There are many kinds of rocks on this beach as well. It is a beautiful place to watch the sunset.
This is the necklace I made using one of the hummingbird beads I purchased at Heart Bead. I used Shimmering Rose Delicas with rose and green Swarovski crystals. I made this necklace and wore it the next day.
