MEMORIAL SLIDE SHOW

Dear Friend of APANY, The Memorial for Ed Remo on September 23rd was a great success. One of the more moving moments of the Memorial was the Photo Slide Show.

For those of you who missed it, the Slide Show contains pictures of APANY events over the past 10 years, such as the Picnic, the Pageant, Fiesta Filipino, etc. You will see pictures of Ed as a young man as you have never seen him before... pictures of Ed and his family... and you may even be in the Slide Show yourself. The Slide Show has an instrumental music background of Filipino music, which sets the mood.

This Slide Show is being made available for purchase to all friends of APANY. The Slide Show is available in two formats... either as a DVD, which you can play on a DVD player and watch on the television, or in Windows Media format which you can play on your computer using Windows Media Player Version 10 or newer.

The DVD costs $12 and the Windows Media format costs $10. Shipping via First Class Mail is FREE. A portion of the net proceeds will go to the APANY Event Fund.

A NOTE FROM JAY CHAI ABOUT HIS NEW MUSIC CD:

It has been a blessed year for me despite leaving in a world of terrorist threats, war and economic downturn. Finally I have finished my second album. Many of you have been asking me as to when it will be ready. Here it is!! The music style is more jazzy, pop and R&B than before. You should set your stereo to pop or rock sound for the best listening.

Many songs were written for my friends and a few for anyone who might be feeling lonely. "Nice and Easy" was a fun song inspired at the SBNY when I saw many people checking
out each other! "Always
America" was written after 9/11. Sitting at the Hoboken, NJ, waterfront looking over downtown Manhattan I saw such a sad sight. "Be Home" is the most recent song written for our troops overseas. It's my heart's desire and hope that they all can be home safely. Allan has been my creative and lyrical helper in the making of this album. Without him this project would not have come about.

Many thanks to the friends and fans who support me. These songs are all for you. Special thanks to Wayne Bernauer and Kyle Saefong, APANY especially Ed Remo, Pegasus Bar who are letting us perform anytime we want, Robert Brooks (Let’s make more music), Izza, John Cossen, David Heeley, and all of you who bought this album. Thank you. God Bless us all.
