Heighten awareness, gain priority, and resources to address: educational, social, economic, cultural, family, and other issues facing the Asian-American community.
LAAWC will be a support group to various other Asian organizations in Greater New Orleans area. Our focus is to bring all groups together to work on issues critical to Asian organizations in the Greater New Orleans area and to find ways to solve these issues.

Requirements: Any Asian American women over 40 years old who do not have health insurance.

LAAWC will sponsor one page each month in a monthly magazine, KOREAM. This is an excellent magazine published in California about Koreans in the United States. The magazine will be fun and inspiring reading for all Korean American teenagers. COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT
Members of the Louisiana Asian American Woman's Caucus recently attended the 1999 Breast Cancer Fund's third annual Tribute to Breast Cancer Survivors and other Heroes. The Fund has encouraged Asian American's to join the effort to bring education and research projects to our community. The Fund can be reached at 524-4795.
